I like telephone but not for a tango really.

I think for a cha cha, in the US they did a group with the celebs and pros to it and I really liked it then.

I like it,but,Georgia for Georgia.....really?

Furthermore:

Ainsley's going to be dicing up his tomatos
I don't want to know about Gleb's pencil
Carol's going to be caught in the rain (they'll never tire of the weather jokes)
Kristina wants to misbehave (hasn't learnt her lesson)
Helen's the uptown girl
Iwan or Ola are sexy and they know it
Jamelia want's to cha cha but is told by rivals to "don't cha"
Jeremy and Karen are happy together
Classics host Katie gets Lady Gaga and bloody Beyonce
Kellie doesn't want Kevin to break her heart,or Kiki's (too much alliteration there)

etc....

For crying out loud.

i wish they'd get rid of those irritating singers and play the original track.

Both girls are very good though, especially Andrea. Any kind of R & B music, she's your woman to do it. In some cases I can't detect a difference from the original track.

Gregg never danced a ballroom (dance) last year. You can also expect some of the couples to stay on ballroom/latin (doubling up) after this weekend. Anita already had hers, so she is the most likely to alternate (b-l-b-l) constantly after this week.

Me too!

Just heard the Ricki Lee song - I would have preferred this to have been used for a Charleston rather than a salsa....

Vast potential for cringe there.

i also like that song, i was thinking about that song for a waltz.

It's rather depressing that the producers are still trying to be clever with the song titles, whilst maybe forgetting that it's the dance that matters

well again the cheesy songs for the faster dances, elton john and Kiki dee for a Cha Cha ( that's a quickstep song). or Iwan's Cha Cha to sexy and i know it

only a few properly chosen songs:

Georgia on my mind by Ray Charles for Georgia and Giovanni's Waltz ( i like the song)

Don't Cha by Pussycat Dolls for Jamelia and Tristan's Cha Cha ( it's a good Cha Cha song).

Ainsley's song or Kirsty's song i both don't know what those songs are,

Indeed. Poor Ainsley. For a cheap and not very funny pun they have lumbered him with possibly the most unsuitable track for a salsa the show has ever seen and in a show where only two or three really good salsa tracks have ever been used that is saying something.

Yipes it doesn't even have the appeal of being current or well known. I hope they at least speed it up a bit from the original. Poor Ainsley.

yeah, like the producers want to work him out.

Peter Andre to Valerie, damn i like that song, but why must The Andre dance to it.

Georgia May's waltz song, one of my favourite oldies hits Georgia on my mind, i think they will use the Michael Bolton Version, which is more waltz like.

Surely "Don't Cha" would be more suited to Tango than Cha Cha Cha?

it's a uptempo song, but if you say it's a Tango song.

but the producers have chosen the songs, with only a few good matched songs in it.

Poor Ainsley, he has been sabotaged by the producers.

for me the waltz songs, are proper waltz songs.

I don't know it and for the minute can't remember the tune to the original properly either. Is it in 3/4 time?

i believe it's more the typical waltz, so i guess it is 3/4.

but Michael Bolton also sings it brilliantly, a good singer.

Telephone is actually ok for a tango (technically 4/4 but beats occur in groups of 8 to listener)

I thought Georgia on my Mind was in 4/4 time (Yep, just checked. It's not a waltz.). Could probably convert to 3/4 though”

I never understand when they try to convert it to 4/4 as you seem to lose the song in there.

Why not save it for foxtrot?

I am cringing already at the thought of Iwan and Ola's cha cha to "Im Sexy And You Know It"

its going to be Iwan, shirtless, with hip grinding and groin pumping whilst Ola shimmys around him wearing a catsuit
