I think it's more likely... But then again it's not always revealed exactly a week before, and the original trailer came out on a Tuesday and the teasers started this Tuesday...

This year will have older candidates, and is definitely back to 16 candidates, according to a RT article.

good 20 was too much, and in the end it was kinda pointless considering how many he would fire in a week...

when they do the double bill premiere, don't they usually then keep the first episode slot for the rest of the of the show.(Except the final)

They did in Series 9 and 10, but Series 7 started with a double bill on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the rest of the series broadcast on Wednesday.

The first 2 tasks have been revealed!

The first task is to buy fish and with it manufacture 2 lunchtime products to sell on the street.

The second task is to create a new shampoo brand and come up with a campaign to promote it!

This is the earliest we've ever had an advertising task.

I've skimmed over what was written about the first two tasks, but in future could people please write things like that in
Spoiler
spoiler tags
?

Some of us prefer to find out as little as possible in advance.

The task itself does not qualify for spoiler tags surely!

It's just a polite request. I doubt I'll be able to avoid finding out right up until broadcast because even the TV schedules will mention it, but I like to delay myself finding anything out for as long as possible. Of course, I can't force you, but I'd appreciate it, buddy.

I wonder if they will pay tribute to the legendary Stuart Baggs at some point in the opening week

That's interesting. But they never made any tribute to Adenike. I guess Stuart was a much bigger character and had a lot more impact though.

I've wondered that about Stuart as well. He was a lot more memorable than Adenike (though Adenike holds the distinction of being the first ever person fired, which makes her pretty significant in the show's history as a whole).

It is possible that the producers didn't know about Adenike though. Her death was not reported in the UK at all. It wasn't reported on the forums until I think about a year later, because I found it mentioned on a Nigerian news website.

I think they might well tribute Stuart, but if they did, it would set quite a precedent, wouldn't it? They'd have to do it every time someone died. Of course, it's not likely to happen often because the candidates are all quite young and not likely to die within the next twenty years or so - but you can never be sure, accidents happen.

I await the ridiculous self-aggrandising remarks and egocentric smug expressions of these be-suited and be-business-suited men and ladies.

Nothing will ever beat - 'Everything I touch turns to SOLD'

I think that Melody beat that. 'Don't tell me the sky's the limit if there are footprints on the moon.'

If I was a candidate, I would say, 'I'm not an applicant, I'm an applican'.
