Well if he had it in his hand just so and the seizure hit his hand might clench JUST the right way and the gun might go off accidentally (though shouldn't it have a safety?). It's a one in a million that it would happen and hit someone but this is a soap after all.

He would definitely know after that he'd had a seizure though, and the gun would still be in his hand or laying nearby. That's why I don't believe in that theory.

What about Eric as the culprit? He was up at home farm around the time the gun was put in the safe - not sure exactly when. He was seen in the vicinity just before the attack, by Chrissie, who he later tried to frame for it. Above all else he had motive - when he was terrorising Chrissie at Home Farm, she pointed out to him that it was Robert's actions that led her to act as she did at the scrapyard, so that he was ultimately responsible for Val's death. And Eric has been quite violent lately, and completely unbalanced at times.

It is, indeed, ludicrous, although all the more reason it might become a reality.

Personally, I'm hoping for Paddy because I think it would make good narrative sense, but Chas' behaviour is strange. She got through Debbie pointing a shotgun in her face and Cameron's siege without being traumatised but Robert being shot in front of her has done the trick? Hmmm.

If Chas is the shooter, then I think they should have had them interviewed by the police (all of the suspects) and had them show how things happened from their perspective. Some of them would obviously be lying and then we would have to guess. That would have been better TV, I think.

I have refrained from saying I hope Robert dies, only because you rightly pointed out that my boy Finn is back and still breathing, after all of my fears for his death the past few months.

Too obvious

Lachlan, Lawrence, Chrissie, Aaron and Paddy are all too obvious. It will be someone who isn't even a suspect. Their suspicious nature are all classic red herrings.

I was starting to think that maybe the person shooting was aiming for Chas. Not Emma though as I think it's too obvious for her to be stalking Chas.

Still not sure about Andy either though. He seems to know more than he is letting on. And not convinced with his alibi. Very clever now that he is not a suspect. Also not sure why Aaron would go looking for Andy at the garage?

Seen a lot of people saying Andy asked Ross to do it. Not sure why he would risk that Unless he was being paid a load of cash (Andy wouldn't have) and even then it's a huge risk. Ross also has other ways of getting cash if needed and it's not like those two have a lot of interaction. Does Pete know Ross got rid of the gun? Ross could have been thinking that maybe Pete would go to the police as he knew Ross had the gun and fled just incase

Unless he employed someone to do it. He may have gone to the hospital knowing that he had to have an alibi.

If his alibi turns out to be fake, that would be a real disappointment for me. However, like many others I'm sure that Andy knows more than he currently wants to admit to his family.
For a start, why did he ring Vic that night and apologize? What for?
I guess it could have been before he decided to check himself into the clinic and he never went through with whatever he had planned, but it's still a bit strange.

Second, why would Aaron go to the garage of all places to look for Andy? Did Andy tell him to come? Did someone else tell him Andy might be there? If Aaron had made it up, surely he would have picked a better excuse to go to the garage.

And of course he sudden "voice of reason" behaviour...

Although I don't think it was Paddy, I do want to know what he was doing that night. Also Ashley since he's a potential suspect. I hope they cover both of those in the flashback.

I think it was Emma Barton, the shot was most probably meant for Chastity and she missed hitting Robert by mistake, she is most probably tormenting Chas too

She wasn't around though. Emma, James and Finn all left to be with Nana Barton wherever that is.
