Experiences of contracts via Third Party sellers.
Was just wondering what the informed view is of folk on the use of Third Party companies selling contracts ? My contract is up and am shopping around and when I used comparison sites like 'Uswitch' or 'Moneysupermartket' the deals offered by other companies are often quite cheaper than going direct to the' big four' or even high street stores like CPW. Now I get that these companies have smaller over heads and get referral fees etc from the networks but do they also cut other corner in the service you get ?
If you have issues with your account do you go direct to the network ? Device issues I assume would be with the company that sold you the device. |

At the end of the day, your contract is with the network, so you deal with them for network problems. I would never buy from the main seller or CPW again, they are just too expensive compared to MPB, buymobiles etc. |

If you look who stands behind them, it can give you confidence.
www.mobiles.co.uk is owned by CPW, in any many situations they work out cheaper than their parent company. |

You will still be a customer of the network so you will go to them with issues about your contract. For me the big advantage for a Windows or Android phone is that it will come unlocked and "sim free" i.e. not running the networks firmware. Now I understand that most people probably never take their sim card out of the phone for the 2 year duration of a contract so they are not bothered, but I just cant stand seeing a network app or bootup splash screen. It drives me crazy.
