AIUI, not all Freesat equipment allows the recording of channels that are not on the Freesst EPG.

Does anyone have any information on those that do?

Thanks.

My Humax Foxsat recorder does so I would imagine that the more recent Humax models do also!

Isn't it true that the ones that do not allow recording have been discontinued?

Not so. The G2 freetime units user interface was freesat's design not Humax's.
The is no way to record non-freesat on a freetime unit.

Manhattan HDR-S records non-freesat channels fine.

Silly assumption to make that just because the old foxsat does that the newer humax boxes do.

Which is why it's vastly superior

Humax have never been able to design a decent user interface, or a decent remote control.

How foolish of me to even assume such a thing!

Thanks, so it would have to be a Manhattan and not a Freetime unit if I wanted to record non Freesat channels?

Trouble with non Freetime units is that Channel 4 and 5 VOD isn't available.

Looks like i'll have to choose the lesser of two evils
