What is the new router? If is it not a BT Homehub then it needs to be another make and model which supports and is configured to use the multicast protocol needed for BT Sport.

That router looks like it doesn't support multi casting. Google and see if a 3rd party firmware exists that does support it

You should be able to use that to get a no quibble refund from the shop even if technically the *does* router supports fibre / Infinity but does not support multi-cast / BT TV.
As you are not comfortable using Google I would think you would be comfortable downloading and installing third-party firmware, even if it does exist. There is a topic over on the BT Forums which discusses third party routers which work and how to set them up. Can you remind us again why you are not using the Home Hub router supplied by BT? |

Stopped using the hub 4 because it was slow and kept cutting out from the internet. The new router works fine with the internet no dropouts of anykind Looking at the instruction book again,it states,if your isp says they don't support netgear services tell them you only need DSLuser name and password and that you don't need support I.am not sure what this means what is a DSL and what is the password?

If you are having problems with the router BT should replace it they did with mine. If you are using the Home hub 4 and open reach modem ask for a home hub 5
