OHH would have been fantastic if Delia"letsbeavvinyew" was one of the chefs.
What a shame the fab Gordan has declined to be in this series. The gorgeous frenchman is the only thing worth watching!!
Dreadful Gary Rhodes attempting to be all Grant Mitchell ...he just hasnt got the range Darling......!

Ways to boost ratings.

Employ an interesting and varied choice of celebrity chefs i.e.

1. A house of commons sl*t
2. A top/athlete/drugs cheat
3. A previously unknown bimbo now infamous porn star
4. A cheeky scouser
5. A walking dead rock dj
6. An old grouchy woman
7. A has been comedian
8. And one washed up former pop star.

Where you would find such a line up of oddballs?

You may ask, i couldn't possibly comment.

It seems to me that these two chefs want this show to be about them and not the contestants which I'm sure is fine for some viewers, but I want to see the contestants personalities not the chefs.”

I suspect that the producers figure that the chefs are (at this point) better known and that Gordon was a star before. So I blame the producers for where the focus is.

JC seems like an ok guy to me. He spent a fair amout of time chatting with his group on the ITV2 show (his group minus the candidate for eviction who was off on his own in a dark place drinking a beer).

I must admit I was one of those who got bored and turned over to something else.”

Unfortunately, if it's a ratings flop, everyone will believe that the reason they didn't like it was the reason for the low audience numbers; but we won't actually know.

Anyway, I have a feeling that there are too many reality shows now. I'm torn between wanting this show to be good, so there'll be some enjoyable viewing, and wanting it to be bad, so that I can forget it.

Latest ratings 3.5 million!. That is bordering on a disaster for ITV1 at peak eveing hours. Maybe it will pick up, but personally I cant get into it, Ive tried, but it does'nt hold my interest.

My Lordship. Are you still willing to back up your statement?

Or are you having second thoughts about this appalling, contrived show?

Is anyone still watching? The ratings have gone from 3.5 million down to 1.2 million. A complete disaster for ITV.

Where do you get your figures from ?

MediaGuardian 22/04/05 :

"Following Footballers' Wives, the latest instalment from Hell's Kitchen attracted 4.1 million viewers and a 21% share audience share.
The Hell's Kitchen audience was 600,000 less than Wednesday night's episode, but not as bad as Tuesday's low of 3.5 million viewers. And it still beat BBC1's news bulletin at 10pm, which had 3.8 million viewers."

I have never watched the show, however i entirely agree with you Brent. HK2 is complete rubbish. Anyone who disagrees is sadly misguided.

That's what I like. A clear, concised and well reasoned post.

You've never watched the programme - but you think it's rubbish.

Anyone who has the audacity to disagree with you is misguided.

Yep, makes perfect sense

He was probably trying to be superiorly sarcastic, but in my view he failed because it is indeed sh*te.
