Just in case anyone wants to discuss the episodes...

Hm are they all chefs/cooks of some description?

It's a bit odd, innit? I'm more concerned that the Waiter (names still elude me) looks like Marco out of BB

And Aby King reminds me of Caron Keating, though that's probably not such a bad thing

Hmm they seem to have wittled down the list of applicants to some rather confident people with some cooking skills. Obviously they didn't want the two teams to be total rubbish.

First impressions (names from website):

Aaron - Huge nose
Caroline - Smug
Sam - Trout Pout
Simon - Camper than Milletts
Terry - 'Es a Fug, innee?

Aby - The "Totty"
Gary - No neck
Henry - Typical student look
Kellie - Up for a laugh?
Stein - None really.

Its rather like a Big Brother Kitchen, only not. It's rather bizare. I don't like it so far. It just doesn't feel right. The music always made me think Ramsay.. it was perfect for Ramsays "Hells Kitchen".

Who knows maybe it will grow on me. I think the first series was a little dodgy to start off with. But I can't see it working myself. I'm going to look forward to the US version which does have Ramsay at the healm I think.

Yeah... I'll give it a couple of days I think, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Rhodes is playing the "tough guy" but it doesn't suit him. He's a nice guy, I think, truly.

I like it so far, but Gary needs to drop this fake bad guy act. He's too much of a nice guy.

For a moment there, for one single slight moment there, I thought the Frenchie was going to give him a right bollocking. Sadly I was wrong.

Now Ramsay on the other hand would be seven swear words in by now. Make that seventeen.

This is rubbish. The Chefs are girls and giving them compliments for crap dishes!! Already I feel like this is going to be two chefs against each other and saying whatever they need to say and doing whatever they need to do to make sure they win, regardless of how good the quality is.

Ramsay would be fifty swear words in by now.

Hmm... JC was far too "nice" about the meals.

A packet of Smash in that kitchen? It had to be put there by someone, it wasn't just left there from a few weeks ago, so who on earth decided to stock Smash in that restaurant? That seemed rather fishy to me, and I don't mean the meals.

They all seem like people who have applied to be part of this having some prior experience of acting, or at least being on TV, or being part of some form of reality TV show in the past. I can't shake the impression that they are far too confident infront of the camera and seem to be far too well presented in some cases.

Anyone else? They certainly ain't been plucked off the street. Maybe they had a big application process and this is a very wittled down group. But still.

Seems a bit odd, really. The show's been good without being great.

I agree, he's trying too hard to be the "gordon ramsey" of the series. the producers probably wanted him to be like that but i still think it doesn't suit him!

Caroline's getting on my thrupennies already. Really getting on them. And Simon... well, I think my impression of him being Marco was correct.

Two impressions so far of accents that seem far too good to me. I still think these people are of some previous TV or acting experience. I'll stop ranting about it now

I think the F-word quota will be kept up with Stein and Terry.
