This is what is wrong with this show when a contestant reaches this stage of the show, and has not been seen once. If someone has performed well enough to get to this stage, they should at least have had some air time.

I expect she wonders why she has bothered tbh. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/whats...inger-10175439

its a light entertainment TV show , it isn't meant to be fair, the producers have to make decisions on who they are going to show and what they think will make good TV, even if we dont always agree with those decisions

there is a finite amount of time available so they cant show everyone

i would be delighted if they showed more of the artists performing instead of all the nonsensical fluff but thats probably unrealistic

it didn't do last year's focus of your obsession any harm that she wasn't really shown before judges houses

I dont disagree with most of what you have said here, other than the fact that Fleur is not an obsession of mine, just a favourite XF contestant.

They could show more of the decent acts if they cut down on showing the joke acts which is just a complete waste of time.

i love the joke acts, they make the show way more entertaining to watch! i'd much rather watch an interesting mix of contestants of varying abilities than 100 mariah careys. i'm just sad that there aren't nearly as many of the bad auditionees as there used to be. at one point almost half the show was occupied by a whole herd of delusional singers being put in their place by classic Simon Cowell put-downs and that was where the show was at it's peak for me. It's still a very watchable show, but now a lot of the fun of joke acts has been replaced by significantly longer backstories of selected contestants that the producers want us to like.

We will have to agree to disagree on this point, but if they do have to show the joke acts then they could be put on Xtra factor on the same evening, and then people have the choice of watching what they prefer.

well the xtra factor is widely interpreted by the public as just the leftovers from the main show so it attracts like 1/20th of the main show's viewers. i think they have to mix it into the main show as well as all the drama, as i think it boosts the ratings quite a bit and the majority of the public enjoy watching it. basically the show is all about making "good tv" and less an actual serious singing competition. tbh i find actual serious singing competitions quite dull as the fun factor is gone, but that's just me.

That's fair enough. I must admit to prefering The Voice to XF, but each to their own of course.

So an average or poor singer with drama or sob story will get on main show
A good singer might only make it to the xtra factor. It's almost worth hamming it up to get on the main show or doing something outrageous! Next years contestants note- don't be beige!
