I'm not surprised that Iwan is out. There were a combination of things that made me think that.
He seemed to have a schedule with BTSport that was going to conflict with appearing on Strictly.
He had a busy schedule, so only trained 3 days in the first 3 weeks. You can't get that back if you needed 3 weeks intensive training to have a chance.
He seemed to be getting unsuitable music and heavy theming. Same thing is happening with Ainsley, but with Iwan I think it had a purpose to help him on his way.
Iwan turned out to need a lot of training and in the end was the worst dancer after 2 weeks.
Iwan unwittingly tried to be the wrong type of person for Strictly.
Iwan just seemed to have the wrong attitude.

I'm giving Ola a bye on this as she has shown so many times that she can get celebs at least as far as they deserve. If Iwan had a free schedule maybe it would have been different.
I'm pleased Ola is back - I think she earned her place over many years of hard work and commitment to Strictly - plus she does get results. She has recovered and has the pro dances to look forward to, but this will be a disappointment to her.

I do have a soft spot for Aliona and after the last couple of celebs that she was paired with I was praying she would get a goodun ... Jay has really impressed me and their waltz last night was beautiful ... if he comes out of his shell a little more I think he is a potential winner.

With all the ties of judges scores giving a points boost to the lower rated celebs, it really does depend on the public vote for a celeb to survive the first few weeks.

Jeremy Vine played the kids card very early, but still has a famous brother to pull out of the hat (maybe for Rumba week !!)

Kirtsy was definitely in trouble as her audience is not exactly Strictly's

Carol has BBC Breakfast audience to plug, and Pasha is popular too

sometimes I wonder if it is deliberate ploy to score certain contestants low so they can make a quick exit. I thought he was ok if not the greatest. I suppose those that don't have projects lined up will stay longer. Sorry but its the cynic in me.

That makes two of us who are cynics. I've always thought this might be the case. It doesn't seem as if Peter, Jay or Ainsley have much on at the moment. Really hope that Jay gets to the final - and win! I always like to thwart the bookies.

Think it was the wrong year for Iwan. Sadly I don't think he would have progressed without lots more training. Feel badly for Ola and hope that next year she gets someone good - if she wants to stay with Strictly that is.

At least we got the Ola Jordan Memorial 'jump off stage, knee slide, shake it like you make it' move that she's choreographed in all of her Latin for all of her celebs bar Paul Daniels.

Its a dig at me because I unwittingly made a comment in a thread which to me was like a spoiler thread, however, it now seems that a thread putting me in my place has been started and I feel I am being ganged up on. We all know who come across as having an attitude so the thread was directed at that contestant. If I don't want to know something I don't open any threads that my contain spoilers. But to out some on a public forum is a form of bullying.

A thread was started to remind everyone not to post spoilers outside this dedicated spoiler thread. That was it, no ganging up or putting people in their place, your name wasn't mentioned, either.
No need to go off in a flounce like a stroppy teenager, really.

To be strictly fair, if you had just amended your post that would have been the end of it and no more would be said.

Instead you have gone all huffy & dug your heels in. Notwithstanding there is a very short window to edit posts so a PM may not have been picked up in time.

PLEASE, everyone, can we ALL remember NOT to blatantly post the spoiler, or allude to the result in any other way, OUTSIDE OF THE SPOILER THREAD.

In a nutshell, if the thread title doesn't have the word **SPOILER** in it, then nothing pertaining to the spoiler should be posted there.

DS forum admin have stepped in previously & warned that if this happens regularly, then the spoiler thread would be closed, & I'm sure none of us want that. So please, take heed of the advice above, so that there will be no upset on anyone's part.

There is only one spoiler thread and only one spoiler thread is allowed by DS.

Its easily done and you get very little time to correct it.
