I can see Kylie doing heavy promotion for this as she is still getting to perform on big shows which helps her and could help this album sell in decent numbers.
I really feel Kylie should concentrate on working on her next studio album and get it right, she has recorded a lot of one off singles and features recently (all mostly terrible) and now a Christmas album and i feel she would stand better to work on getting her next studio album right and try and achieve some success with a brand new album of new material.”
She never has an issue getting TV promo, she's a great guest on the chat shows, always gets on XFactor, Royal Variety etc it's the radio AirPlay that is the big issue. Radio1 and Capital see her as old news and without them on board you don't get a hit.
As with others in this thread I'm not overwhelmed by the idea of a Christmas song, but I'll let her off if she delivers a new classic. It's been 11 years since The Darkness had the last big chart hit with an Xmas song, and Leona Lewis had an OK effort the other year, but aside from that it's been slim pickings!
