Help - Issues with Phillips HDT8520 recorder
I know this is an old model (picked up for £30), but I've an issue with the recording with this box.
Wednesday night, I recorded a film off BBC1. It recorded twice - the main recording on BBC1 West and another recording on BBC1 Wales (I'm based in the South West). Whenever I hover or even click on the failed BBC1 wales recording, it freezes the box. I tried to delete, but failed. I don't want to re-format as I've recorded series of programmes I am yet to watch. Any ideas please? |

I don't own one of these but it looks as though there have been a lot of issues with some of the earlier software. Is the software up to date? http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...ctn=hdt8520/05 Also have you tried restting to the default settings: Restore factory default settings From the Philips's Settings / Set-up menu, |

Hi,
it's the most recent software update which sadly is 2011, as I checked the info. I've done a factory reset, but the recording still freezes the box when I click past it. |
