OK, I'll try quoting something in the manner you did!

P.S. I didn't misunderstand your post, but that was only because I thought it very odd that Rory Cellan-Jones would be expressing such a forthright opinion himself, what with him being a BBC journalist. In your reply above you basically admit that you misquote him in order to support your viewpoint. Which is a bit shabby really.

It does mean that both O2/3 need to get the 2300MHz TDD spectrum now. Well to be fair I expect the combined entity would of bid heavily for that as well.

According to replorts CHK/Hutchison are planning to appeal the decision.
Although going by Threes recent performance , they used to see themselves as the small disruptive player in the market with extremely good deals to entice in new customers, and keep current ones.
Although the recent price rises, and tactics such as booting customers off old plans, almost seems like Three were expecting to get their hands on O2.
Three were good value for money, the network is a bit hit and miss in certain areas lacking things such as 2G fall-back, building penetration and so on not to mention their god awful hard to understand call centre , and as a trade off the prices were lower.

Now the prices are higher, the network is still the same as is the off shore call centre, if three remain unsuccessful at their attempts to buy O2 ( appeals pending etc) then they either need to do some serious back peddling to re gain the spot as the disruptive player in the market, carry out some serious investment, or just sell up and let another company take on Threes assets and problems

Hutchinsons appeal has more to do with their proposed merger with Three and Wind in Italy. I don't see Telefonica wanting to drag this out for another year.

In some areas building penetration is good, in others not so.

And slow speed or non existent signal in some areas does not mean that’s definitely the case throughout the UK.

Though they are not such good value for money on PAYG nowadays for those who consume less than 3GB of data each month. The All In One 15 was ideal for that, though it was AYCE data on offer. But it was either add ons that had either 500MB or AYCE data (on 2 of them) to choose from. Even now it’s 1GB, 12GB or AYCE data to choose from but nothing in between 1GB and 12GB which others can provide at a cheaper price than three’s All In One 20.

Thine wonk went on about 1GB being the standard amount that was used on the AYCE data when it was first offered. At the time it may not have been unreasonable to think that, but as time has worn on 1GB has proven to be totally inadequate to last a month. 3GB (possibly even 1 to 2GB more than that is a lot more reasonable amount of data for mobile phone usage than 1GB. Why three have no add on with data amount in between 1GB and 12GB for less

Following on from previous post

Why three can’t offer add ons on PAYG with data allowances between 1GB and 12GB like Asda, Tesco and 1 or 2 others have done for less than 20 quid, I don’t know why?

I actually think the call centre is fine, has been for a few years now and I've never found them hard to understand.
