Email sync settings

Hi all,
Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm setting up my email on Hudl2 from hotmail account. The default "Period to sync email" is set at 3 days. Does anyone know what this means pls?
Thx Pete

I don't use Hotmail, but my Hudl 1 and my smartphone,
plus my Desktop PC, sync the mail between the three
of them, and also sync my 'Contacts' list. I have set mine
to either daily or so many hours (Can't remember to be
honest!) and it works okay. That is for Gmail and my own
email from my ISP (in this case Virgin).
The result is that if I get a mail on any of my devices, it
will also appear on the other two; If I add a mail contact
on one, there it is on the others. Simple really!

Hi timebug - thx for your great reply. Yes I get that- what I dont understand is that Ive set it to sync automatically, but there is 1 setting that says - "period to sync email" with times between 1 day-1 month. Do you know what this is?

One more query fr anyone that knows is this - if I send an email form my phone, it shows as sent on my phone but not on my PC and vice versa. Its like the email knows where its sent from and only shows in the sent folder from the device it was sent from. Any ideas anyone? Thx Pete
