I thought those were two hideous concoctions on Tess and Claudia . Then again I believe they both get their dresses from their own sources . So wardrobe department not responsible .

I agree about Kellie and Kevin , their hideous orange and pink concoctions so distracted from their dance .

I know poor Caroline but I think she is really fussy and it was her own fault

God yes, how bad! The one dress I liked was the one that tripped her up too, quite unlucky in the wardrobe was Caroline.

Do you think it may be to do with both Caroline and Kellie being middle-aged but very short?

I say this because, although Georgia & Chelsee were also short, they are younger and can maybe get away with a certain style. For example, long dresses would just drown both Caroline & Kellie and, if you notice, neither ever wear them to awards events etc.

On ITT it was stated that Kellie has specifically asked for the hemline to be shorter.

Sorry but I can't agree. We seem to be having a mix of beachwear and dreadful dresses so far. Nothing is stylish bar a couple of dresses and most look cheap and ill matched.

I thought the dress of the night was Janette. That huge skirt, black top and elegant up-swept hair-do. Gorgeous. Sadly let down by hideous red suit on Peter.

I also loved Kristina's Charleston dress, which was longer than usual for her, and really suited the occasion. Fun and frilly without being too sexy.

Agree, Kellie's outfit was awful.

Caroline and Kellie are hardly middle aged!!

They all get a say in what they're wearing in that they can tell wardrobe what they do and don't feel comfortable in. The pros also request things that suit the dance or theme that week. In Caroline's case I got the impression she was happy with showing off her fabulous legs, hence the short dresses. At the same time some of her earlier dresses had lots of fringing or material so it looked like she was conscious of her stomach (not that she had one). Already this year we know Carol won't wear really short dresses because she doesn't like her legs. It comes down to the contestants individual tastes and knowing themselves what suits them.

Jeanette's dress last night was not to my taste.

Oh I agree, Janette's dress was gorgeous, she looked beautiful.

Think the ladies frocks last night were all gorgeous

It wasn't so much the length as everything else.
The clashing gingham was a particularly nice touch

I really liked Aliona's outfit, though.

I loved Katie's understated but classic tango dress which with her beautiful smooth updo hairstyle was the classiest look of the night closely followed by Janette's beautiful skirt, although it did swamp her small frame a little and wasn't matched at all by her partners ridiculous red suit. Most disappointing were Kellie , who just looked silly and Carole who looked frumpy. Wardrobe just doesn't seem to be able to cope with women who have a a large ( and real) bust.

Looked like Good Superman vs Bad Superman plus fringing on gym knickers with a check shirt.

I think Wardrobe probably did that to make Kellie stand out more by giving Kevin a more muted colour for his trousers.

Still.. it didn't go did it?

Everything else so far has been great. I really liked Kirstie's outfit - would be great for a samba too.

Katie looked amazing - everything perfect from the elegant hairstyle (wish I could do that style) downwards.
