Leaving him on till the end. Generally later on is less likely to go. The favourites are saved to hold onto viewers.

Ok, thanks for that. I don't really understand the logic behind it though.

Either he dances well or he doesn't, which will be noted whether he's first or last.

Ahh so phone numbers opening at end. Are the producers worried about Peter's performance this week?

Well he's either last or second last. Not fair really.

The producers want a male winner, it's our show and not theirs.

I think it means mysterious girls. Perhaps because they're of the night. Ahem

I agree. I know very little about ballroom, but I thought his frame was very sloppy. I don't dislike the man. But the judges fawning over him could render him unappealing to me

Depends, judges have their favourites too & viewers voting will remember the last 3 or 4 better than first 3 or 4 when picking phone up. There's also perception now, after years of watching, that the most showstopping (not necessarily best) will go last

Was it just me then who thought it was a bit slow for a QS.

Jay is over marked too, I think the production team want a Peter v jay final two.

Not relevant to scd but I'm seeing sunetra sarker from last year's scd on casualty now.

It just suits his presumed storyline of being the big name who starts strong who doesn't quite cut in the end. Anita's not too badly out of the draw either, incidentally.

Is he going to be the Tin Man from Wizzard of Oz in Movie Week?

Don't think he was, especially in comparison to everyone else. He was best dancer of night imo

Nope, that would be Helen.

Helen got slated by the judges for being too stiff and Len made sure he mentioned that she'd had some ballet experience and she definitely wasn't overmarked.

Peter, on the other hand, gets the end slot again, does a mediocre quickstep with round shoulders, stompy flat feet and no grace and gets overmarked...again.
There is definitely an agenda here.

No, Helen got the pimp slot, ie she was the last contestant to dance, and she was very stiff.

The phone lines have opened at the end once all couples have danced for many years now. Nothing new. No conspiracy. No favouritism.

SCD is a tv show and producers place dancers to create best show based on ability / dance. Start with wow. End with wow. This talk about pimp slots is just nonsense.
