I like peter this series, To be honest I did not know much about him before the show, but what has he done to deserve so much hatred and extract so much excrement-ed feelings out of the soul of so many long life frustrated individuals and so many unconditional haters, and Why do so many people hate to see other people triumph?

i agree, dont know why people are putting peter down all of the time. most of the contestants talk highly of him [read a piece which jeremy had written about peter, i cannot see him just saying it]. but then again i dont get the love for jay.

agree. i don't know much about peter, and i haven't been hugely impressed with his dancing, but the completely OTT reaction to him from some quarters is astonishing. watching people parade the worst aspects of their personalities as if it were justified by something in him is quite remarkable.

I've got no real problems with Peter. He seems nice enough. It is eyebrow raising how the show wants to treat him like the 'star' though. He really isn't as good as the program wants to make out (and tbh he seems aware of that and a bit ill at ease with it all).

And if people think he's getting a lot of vitriol for basically existing, then you obviously weren't here during Emma Bunton's series!

Don't think he is as nice as he is trying to make out he is
And he is not that good a dancer 😏 The judges try very
hard to say something or anything they can think of to say
how good he is but don't tell him all the negatives..🙄 They
should be the same on him as they are on the rest of them.
Anita in my opinion has been so much better than him and
a lot better than the judges reckon they slate her and big him
up 😟 Not fair at all 😊

Him getting the pimp slot is putting me off him even more. I don't think he is too bad but I'd like to see a fair competition. Don't know why he is given the pimp slot.

I've looked at his twitter feed a few times now and he has a lot of support from media types , including those representing Children in need, Animal welfare charities, Cancer research and many other charities . You can't fool journalists . If you have any flaws they'll suss it out and you're rep is toast , yet journos and others in the industry are endlessly tweeting what a pleasure he is to interview . You can't pretend to be nice 24/7 in show business .
His dancing is fine , not great but it's still early days and he is doing OK. He is unlearning cheesy dance moves and being taught proper dance and it takes a lot more work to unlearn bad habits . He does get criticised and he takes it on the chin unlike others who grate on the judges by pulling faces or arguing back . It's a pity that accepting criticism like an adult is seen as being up the bum of the judges . Yet I bet if he was stroppy and cheeked them back or pulled faces like Kirsty he'd be slated for that even more and accused of thinking that he is above criticism(as she is ) , so he really can't win on that issue . Obviously there are those who dislike him, that's fine , but be fair and give credit where it is due regarding Strictly dancing .

Couldn't agree more.

My verdict on on his dancing tonight was stiff and strolly, Craig has just put it better! Not very impressed, 'Oil give it foive' Only oldies will understand.

i thought he did pretty well, although it looked better in rehearsals, certainly one of the better male rumbas we've seen over the years.

I thought he looked very good in rehearsals but didn't quite deliver tonight unfortunately.

It's so refreshing to read a fair assessment of Peter. He is a nice guy. I met him at Larnaca airport, so I've been watching him on Strictly. He was with his wife - she is absolutely stunning! - and their little girl. Lovely family, and believe me, I'm too long in the tooth to be fooled by insincerity. I have nothing but sympathy for the people who constantly spew their bile. It's not healthy.

Fairly obvious why he was on early tonight - there was no way they could dress that rumba up as one worthy of being on later in the show.

You're taking the p1ss, surely? If not, your naivete is refreshing to say the least.

I actually don't really mind him (Kellie on the other hand) but his continual brown nosing of the judges to Claudia after his dance every week gets on my wick.

I'm sorry but you are naive. Real journalism is expensive and newspapers have pages to fill every day so the tabloids keep self-promoters like Andre & Simon Cowell on side because they supply daily press releases with which they can fill space for next to nothing.
