1. Traditional music improves a dance so give it to the couples across the board; not just the favoured ones.

2. Back in the early days the VTs used to show people training. Heaven forbid.

3. Tone down the Gleb love - he's going to be getting a restraining order out before long.

4. Cut the props - they're unnecessary and detract from the dance.

5. I feel sorry for Ola; yes she went for entertainment over dance but what else was she supposed to do? Iwan's Cha Cha Cha sections were awful! Another duffer for her; maybe she'll get the hint now.

1. Ainsley's dance was everything I wanted and more. I want him around till Blackpool at least.
2. I guess I've gotten used to a wow-dance in week 2 for the past couple of years (Jake's salsa, Sophie's charleston), so it's odd to see the marks cap off at 31. (Which is fair, because there weren't really any wow-dances.)
3. Jay is such a gorgeous dancer, but good lord he is dead from the neck up. Gurn it up a bit, Jay, it won't kill you. (But your haircut is much appreciated)
4. I think a different pro would've gotten a bit more out of Jamelia, because she actually looked not bad in the launch show dance. So I don't really get Tristan as a pro.
5. Is Iwan trying to flame out in the worst way? I almost want to see him survive just to see if it could get any desperate.

(BONUS: 6. WHO IS MAKING TESS DO HUMOUR.)

I think its Daniel O'Donnell that's causing the surreal out of body vibe.

1. A little bemused by the love for Jay... I thought the stuff in hold was awkward and his face is still constantly blank.
2. I have to admit that Iwan's dance did make me laugh out loud.
3. I thought Kirsty's reaction to the marks was because the judges' comments had implied slightly higher and it was unusually harsh marking (particularly given they'd started the night overmarking).
4. Anton is a total revelation this year.
5. Also bemused by the marks for Daniel's Charleston... I thought that was heading for 2,5,5,5 = 17.

right I really am going to bed now

1. Anton is more excited than his celeb it;s great too watch
2. Jay is fantastic and love the haircut
3. Anita has really surprised me she is very good
4. Ainsley and Nat love their partnership so much fun
5. Please stop forcing the Gleb love yes he is good looking but so far DOD has more personality.

1. Top moment of the night was Anton's joy and Katie's delight at making him so happy.
2. Bottom moment of the night was the bit with Iwain on it - sorry, I cannot stand those tattoos, nor the throw back to a certain wooden Craig of former years "I wannit so I'm entitled to it". Poor Ola.
3. Side moment - the judges appear to delight in bigging up the contestants' expectations by really nice remarks then ... 5 or 6 instead of 7 or 8. Like taking an icecream away from a toddler.
4. Nice to have a proper intro of the band at the beginning and the singers named and camera on their faces for just a few nanoseconds more.
5. The lovely informality of the show now that a certain crashing old bore is well out of the picture. I like the rather creaky judges' twirl at the start of the show. The poor choreography and appalling thumb positions makes them human.

You mean, who is scripting Tess' and Claudia's scripts on the autoprompt??

I believe it's subcontracted to a company somewhere in Asia that is working its way through an 1899 edition of Bradshaw's railway timetables.

1) I was surprised by Jamelia. Compared to last week where she seemed sleepy, today she seemed very lively and she looked great.

2) There was no particular performance that really stood out for me - but there was something about Jay's fabulous turns and the overall choreography that made Jay - Aliona's performance just about my favourite.

3) Georgia, Anita, Peter, Helen all put in good performances.

4) Kirsty doesn't seem to have much by way of musicality, although she coped well with Brendan wildly swinging her around in the lifts. Her reaction to the low scores didn't come over too good. She needs to be more realistic of her limited dance ability and more grateful for being on the show. She is not making herself likeable.

5) Katie and Anton seem like a matching pair of gloves. If I was matchmaking I would put them together.

5b) I was pleased by Iwan Thomas opening up saying he wanted to do his best as he felt it could be his last performance. I think potentially there is a dancer in him but he just hasn't been able to put the time in to get hardly anywhere.

5c) I was disappointed with Jeremy - I was hoping he would improve more. I quite liked his energy and fluidity from last week.

1. The cha chas were a bit DWTS.
2. Jeremy is just so happy to be doing this, I can't help smiling at his awful dances.
3. Loving the Ainslie and Natalie crazy!
4. There were a lot of knickers on show.
5. I think Kevin Clifton looks like a mole and I now can't get the thought out of my head.

1) I think Jay's hair looked very odd; maybe it was just how it was styled. He doesn't excite me on any level and some of his arm movements looked too feminine. He'll probably win though - decent enough dancer, bland, boy band member. I can't imagine his Latin will ever be great.

2) Anita's Charleston wasn't as great as all that.

3) I actually like Jamelia and wanted her to be good. Oh well.

4) I don't care for Anton, but his happiness tonight was rather sweet.

5) I hope Natalie experiences the same thing next year; she never seems to mind having a crap dancer, unlike some of the other pros when they have to deal with dead wood.

Bonus - Kirsty looked more stable than last week, so giving her the same score was a bit unfair.

1) love Ainsley and Jeremy and enjoying the way they make most people smile

2) that stupid umbrella Pasha used was annoying

3) Jamilia and Kirsty -- Delusional

4) Peter should get an early slot next week BUT i bet he dont

5) Tess Is STILL useless

.”

I think Natalie would be a fantastic partner to have, she really brings the best out of her partners, regardless of their talent. She has a great ability in instilling confidence in her partner by bonding with them emotionally and keeping things fun, while at the same time working them hard on the technique. And her routines are fabulous - always focussed on bringing out the best in her partner and hiding the faults.

1. Claudia is slowly going insane. I think the incident with her daughter has left a lasting impression.

2. Katie and Anton are the best at the moment.
3. Ainsley is so entertaining. I expect him to last for a long time.
4. Jay and Aliona are already annoying me. If they win, I'll be gutted. So much fakery.
5. Judges acted more like judges this week, especially Len. Don't expect it to be kept up though.

1. Loved Jay's dance but not the haircut...he looked like Michael Ball.
2. I didn't notice Helen's dancing as Alijaz looked so hot.
3. Peter is so desperate to win, it's a real turn off.
4. Loved the judges intro this week.
5. Some beautiful outfits this week - my favourites were Kristina's, Kirsty's and Jamelia's.

Even by the standards of some of the catty comments and personal jibes about people taking part in the show, this one tops the lot. Sad and totally un-necessary.

I wouldn't want to be someone who thought like that.

Me neither . Good on Claudia for being mad as a box of frogs and happy to be her own person . And I hope her little girl is now recovering wella year on . With a mum like Claudia she will be well on that road now

1) I don't think it's a reflection on the quality of the show, but it just felt so long. This may be attributed to the fact I watched it from 10.15 on my laptop on iPlayer which wasn't much fun.
2) Claudia continues to impress me, whist Tess is turning into a bit of a mess.
3) The set up VTs are truly awful. I skipped most of them.
4) Felt sorry for Kirsty and Jamelia - their performances were actually very impressive and I thought their scores were a bit harsh. Iwan on the other hand was truly dire - well deserved worst score in the last 4 years tbh.
5) Katie and Anton were fantastic, and Jay and Aliona looked so good together - Jay definitely deserved to be top of the leaderboard.

1. Iwan has a terrible attitude
2. Kirsty thinks she's better than she is
3. Tess and Claudia are the best hosts the show could have
4. I loved Darcey's dress
5. Peter, Georgia and Helen are the best so far

1. Please can we get rid of the VTs, and just show training footage- they are cringeworthy.

2. Katie - what a revelation, I love her enthusiasm and think their tango was great.

3. Jay's spins were beautiful, he has dancer's arms and legs.

4. Wishing Trent was back instead of Tristan, who looks like he just can't be bothered to be there.

5. Thought Kirsty was going to lift her skirt up to her shoulders at one point. Couldn't believe her arrogance at her shock and disbelief at her scores. Reality check needed.

1. Just can't get over how classy and grown-up Anton and Katie's routines are

2. Particularly awful jokes from Claud and Tess last night.

3. More realistic marking from the judges. - please keep it up.

4. Jay is going from strength to strength and could be unstoppable.

5a. Brendan is brilliant at disguising Kirsty's shortcomings as a dancer.
5b. Aljaz is pure class. Gleb is just prime ass

[quote=Pink Knight;79879378]1. Iwan is possibly one of the worst contestants ever. Useless at dancing and unlikeable.

I hope he goes tonight.

If we can only get him off MotoGP as well...

He must have a very good agent, getting him all these gigs he's totally unsuited for.

2. Anita- even though I like her, she thinks she is better than she is. If she wants to know what a Charleston looks like see Sophie Ellis Bextor.

3. Jeremy is worse than I thought, but I like him.

4. Carol was slightly better this week, but why keep the umbrella in their hands.

5. Anthony is a waste of time. Why enter something that requires training with an injury.”

So Anita is a top notch choreographer now, she dances what her Pro partner tells her to dance. Gleb needs to look at SEB's Charleston choreographed by Brendon and probably aided by another choreographer specialising in Charleston.http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01j7dbx

2. We are living in strange times when my second best dance has something to do with Anton. It was a little Gesamtkunstwerk I thought, they looked the part, danced very well, nice music, dancefloor looked nice. Well done.

3. Giovanni was sweating like a pig watching David Cameron approach.

4. I love quickstep, my most favourite dance, I just did not like this one. I find Janette's choreographies unrewarding. A lot of work goes into them I am sure, but they just don't wow me as much as they could.

5. Helen and Aljaz, nice try, but my favourite cha cha cha is still Jay's from the last week.”

Allegedly

2) Think that we can safely say that the Blackpool 9 will be 6 women and 3 men (unless Jamelia does not improve).

3) To my surprise Katie did a very good tango (training footage was misleading).

4) Helen performed the best CCC of the night (perhaps not the most hip action, but her precise footwork made up for it).

5) Have a horrible feeling that next week is a theme week :(”

Movie Week going by previous series.

1) Tristan looked hilarious at some points in his dance with Jamelia - like he was entertaining a drunken hen party and not very happy about it.
2) People making fun of the "haircut" VT. I have very long hair and generally get a good few inches off before a competition and it absolutely makes a difference to how comfortable I am in ballroom hold so I'm not going to take the piss on that one.
3) I WAS RIGHT ABOUT IT BEING MARTYNAS' VERSION OF TELEPHONE. And it was absolutely fantastic. There were a couple of moments where it seemed a bit fast and frantic for Katie so looking forward to seeing them dance this again in the final. I 100% believe that Anton did all the choreography for that. It was sooo... tango. No messin abaaaht as Len would say. I think the reason I like them so much is that so far they've had good themes and good music so hope this keeps up.
4)This is the only series where everyone's being told to straighten their legs LESS in the cha cha, I swear.
5)I watched Georgia back and it's true - no heel leads (from what I could see) but it's week one, man. I think it was unfairly picked apart.

Best dresses - Katie and Darcey
Biggest surprise - Iwan's awful attitude
Most fun - Ainslie
Overrated - Peter

And please keep Jeremy in for a few weeks yet. He's no dancer, but he's making a huge effort and being very cheerful and not at all precious. Full marks for having the right attitude.
