Hi Everyone,

Do you have tickets for next Saturday (10/10/15)?
Would you be happy to be our 'mole'?

The spoiler thread NEEDS you!! If you would be happy to text me the result, please could you send me a PM & I will let you have my number - I promise anonymity if that is your preference.

The Spoiler thread is the source of the spoiler for lots of other blogs & websites, & is seen by many more people than visit the DS forums, so it really is appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your kind help

This may be very unpopular but I think the spoiler thread shouldn't be allowed to be honest.

If all the news papers and twitter get the spoiler from here and also people post it on other threads and ruin it for those who do not wish to know, it just doesn't seem right.

Also they do ask you when you go not to reveal the result, so it is asking people to break this agreement which is part of having the privilege of going to see it live.
I know it will not be popular with those who love to guess the time but to me it doesn't seem fair, but there you go.

You are of course entitled to your opinion but, as you know, many will disagree with you. The spoiler thread has been going for years and I, for one, would be really disappointed if it didn't exist.

With twitter there is no way that the result will be kept secret until the Sunday night. There wasn't a mole from the forum there last night and the result came via twitter so it was proved that they don't get it from this forum. I'm afraid if the BBC want to continue with having the results show on a Sunday night, then the result will come out one way or another.

Just in the interests of factual accuracy, the newspapers do not get the result from here, nor does all of twitter, in fact we got it from there last night.

Whilst you may not want to know the result, & I respect your choice on that, others do, as they feel the whole Sunday Night Results show is a farce. IF the beeb want to stop spoilers, then they'll have to show the results live on a Saturday night - they only have themselves to blame.

Anyways - Anyone got tickets for this Saturday

Just an observation. The spoiler thread has had over 205 thousand views. This is more than twice as many as the second busiest thread from the weekend - the live show discussion thread with no spoilers and 78,000 views.

The spoiler thread seems to have got more views and maybe twice as many views as a all the other active threads put together. If this is indicative of a demand to know the news in advance I think the case for the defence is answered.

Hope you find your moles Abigail's Mum.

Fair play, I think it is a farce too, but it doesn't mean I want it spoiled.

Just to say it was in the previous threads that you are the source for the news reports and blogs and in your OP.

I can wait and it does ruin it, there has just been a spoiler in another thread just now too, so I now know.
I am used to o comps where you dance over the course of days and do not find out until everyone has danced, so I don't mind 24 hours.

The reason for the very high number of veiws is also the same people going back to it over and over again for the things such as guess the time and supposed food and wine sharing, then checking in.

Amelia_lee for someone so anti spolier theead you are way too interested in it and what goes on in it and the people posting on there could not clock up that many views on their own just accept the fact that unlike you not everyone wants to wait or for whatever reason is unable to wait until the Sunday show to get the result as I already commented on in one of the other threads. We get that your anti spolier your numerous other posts already confirmed that but why should the option be taken away from the rest if us who do want to know. You also cant blame the spolier thread for people being idiots and posting it in other threads its not difficult for someone to get it from twitter then come on here and post.

How do you know this unless you're checking it out? And if you don't want to know the spoiler, why are you doing so?

As someone who likes to know the spoiler, I'd like to make a case for it.

I (along with many other people) suffer from anxiety.

With Strictly, I know after the Saturday show if my favourites might be in danger of getting eliminated, but without a spoiler, I have to wait twenty-four hours to find out whether or not that happened.

I don't enjoy that twenty-four hour wait. It doesn't add anything to my anticipation, and it does add to my general anxiety levels.

It may only be a small addition to my anxiety, but as any anxiety sufferer will know, it all adds up.

Therefore, I'm very grateful to the people who provide the spoiler and run the spoiler thread each week. It allows me to enjoy the show without making my anxiety worse. So, thank you to abigailsmum and all the moles!

If people don't like the spoiler thread they can always click elsewhere. The BBC can ask for people not to reveal the result but it's just a request and carries no legal or moral authority.

Notwithstanding, 125 people made a guess on the spoiler time. So there is a clear demand to know the result.

Someone agreeing to send the result direct to Abigailsmum is just ensuring a reliable & discrete result.

Oh poor you - finding out who's been knocked out of a 'dancing' (I use the term loosely) competition 20 hours (or less) early - my heart bleeds!

Where's the 'roll eyes' smilie when you need it?

Actually I do not go on the spoiler thread and only know about these chats as they have been mentioned,I didn't know aboutit until the other day, I have no interest in that though, so I disagree that I am too interested.

I understand wgere you are coming from in why should it be those who do not wish for it, well why shoukd it be the other way too?

Sorry you suffer from anxiety, Itoo am a sufferer so I understand how much of a struggle it can be at times.

I do not wish to make it any worse, of course there is the reasoning that they could leave the filming to the next day anyway, so you would never know.
It could also just be left on twitter and not bought here too, so hose who wanted to seek it out could and hose not wishing to could not.

I suppose it could also be argued peoples anxiety can be made worse if the result is spoiled too, it can be tricky, anything can set it off, you never know.

Again sorry to hear you also suffer. I hope it is at a steady place for you at the minute.

What do you mean click elsewhere? I saw the result on the James Jordan thread, hardly clicking on the spoiler!

Lovely post, thank you, I enjoy the show, you must also to not be able to wait a day for the results huh? I do not watch all that much tv, so I do get annoyed if it is spoiled

We do remind everyone not to post anything anywhere else regarding the spoiler, however it does, sometimes, leak out. The spoiler thread regulars do our best to alert forum admin if there is a spoiler posted elsewhere, however it is not helped when people quote the spoiler, thus perpetuating it, rather than reporting it & then ignoring it.

Anyone got tickets?

RIGHT, lets get this back on track.

Given the incorrect B2 spouted all over twitter, even though the eliminated couple was right, PLEASE would someone be our mole this week.

Enough of the debating the rights & wrongs of spoilers - If you want to do that, please start a separate thread.

Many thanks xxx

I hope you find someone, Abigailsmum. you guys do a sterling job every week. I know someone at work who has applied for tickets. I have already told her about the spoiler thread so if she received tickets one week, I will beg, plead and offer my firstborn if she can get us the result that week! I'll keep you informed.

If you don't like it and don't want to know, don't read any threads with the word spoiler in it, it's really that simple And just because you don't like it does not mean others should not like it too

It is very easy to avoid. If I didn't want to be spoiled (I do!), then I would simply stay away from the forum until the Sunday evening show. I would also stay away from social media. It's easy to do - cos frankly I don't spend all my time doing this ... I have plenty of other things to do!

Just sayin'.

i) nobody ties you up and forces you to read the spoiler thread
ii) if they are going to film it in front of a live audience they have to accept that the result isn't confidential

I do not read the spoiler thread, today it was revealed in the thread about James Jordan, I avoid the spoiler thread.
Again, I did not read the spoiler thread, it doesn't mean I do not wish to read any other threads on the dances, especially to see from fellow dancers/ex dancers what they thought on them too. It is a shame to have to avoid every single thread for the sake of one. I have plenty to do, but sk etimes like to see others opinions too.

Anyway, it js just my opinion on the matter, it is a shame to spoil it for those who do not wish to know, but there you go, it is what it is.

All of us who want & appreciate the Spoiler thread will do our very best to alert the mods to any spoilers inadvertently posted in other threads.

However, this information is out there whether a Spoiler thread is run or not. Without a specific Spoiler thread there is just anarchy with people unthinkingly posting the result, or even worse just for spite.

How can you or anyone else guard against that on a public forum? At least the current system, with kind people who have tickets texting Abigailesmum, the result keeps everything in an avoidable thread. Plus it allows discussion of the result before the Sunday show.
