Here's mine, a pub rock epic from 1977:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khXhQJFqFu0

It may be the vocals which let them down a bit: I always imagine a little beer bottle bouncing along the top of the lyrics.

If we're talking pub rock epics from 1977:

Graham Parker & the Rumour - (Hey Lord) Don't Ask Me Questions

Live version, cos they were one of the finest live acts in the world, ever.

Love that song - I've recently found out that The Ramones were big fans of the Bay City Rollers. I like them even more now!

On a dedicated music message board, people were adding YouTube links, to tracks which related to the title. "Girl Groups of the Sixties,"

I must confess despite recognising many, there were forty of whom I'd never heard, but liked. Probably because the board was based in the USA.

Here's one example. Clydie King.

"Missing My Baby."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqKrMwwqgxU

She made a lot of records and was also in demand as a backing singer.

I'm the same. I heard it on a Indie compilation cd and I bought The Contino Sessions on the strength of it. I was delighted that it was a much longer version on the album but, like you, didn't think the rest of the cd was much to shout about.
