There is substance to your view. I would add though that what disturbs me is where a presenter deliberately misleads listeners with partial, inaccurate facts and sensationalises rare examples as general state of affairs.

My point is I don't mind presenters having their own opinion, but that being dishonest in the way they go about it is a failure.

Iain Dale will hold a view on something but doesn't seem to mislead audience or not be open to modifying hks position. He's actually having an open discussion. A marked contrast to some, like JOB who most of the time is just propagandising his positions.

Nick Ferrari was well and truly caught out by that caller Anthony this morning. Normally Nick is the voice of reason on these subjects but Anthony was right- you can't criticse people for being offended by petty comments one day and then claim you are offended by petty comments the next day.

At least Nick had the courtesy to accept that he was wrong on that one. O'Brien would probably have cut the caller off and carried on moaning.

Great show from Nick as usual, some good calls this morning although the topics weren't as light-hearted as yesterday morning.

Risky why? surely all points of view should get an airing not just JOB they employ JOB why not Farage.

I heard that too and couldn't help admiring Nick for admitting that he was wrong.
'Just because you're right, it doesn't make you a better person' made me smile and, in my eyes made him a much better person than most radio presenters.

One thing is certain - no matter how offensive your comment may seem to some, OFCOM is on your side, as we know from recent events.

Still don't get why anyone who has a moan about the country should go live somewhere else. I did ask earlier but no takers.

Maybe they should ask why is the UK like what it is.

Well there are many people disappointed with this country's direction, including myself, however I disagree that we should all love it or leave , to paraphrase Richard Littlejohn or his morning clone.

Ferarri is never done moaning about life in the UK. Is he another you wonder about? I could not care less about anything PD has ever said or done. No reason for me to wonder why he is still here.
I think you are missing that everyone likes a moan every now and again. No need for them to move because of that.

A moan is a moan a promise is a promise however.

It's the sign of a good presenter when they can admit that their opinion was wrong about a subject, credit the caller(s) who pointed it out, and move onto a different conversation. Ferrari is one of those and as you say, he was very polite and jokey to the caller that pointed out the contradictions in his opinions this morning.

Nick isn't often wrong in my opinion but when he is, at least he has the courtesy to accept that he is wrong and apologise. There are too few people in society in general that are willing to accept when they are wrong and say sorry for that these days. I think being able to say that you were wrong about something is a sign of a good person.
