Gary Rhodes

Is it strange and worrying that I find myself inexplicably fancying Gary Rhodes a little bit?!

YES

Dont u just think that he might be trying to ape Ramsey and pretend to be harsh so taht he can get the kudos that Ramsey has now.

Surely Jean Pierre WHATSISFACE? (Papin) will slot this one away quite early.

"I cant let my reputation go with some of the substandard food"
well dont shout at people and belittling them and they might try and help u to win - idiot.

"Tell them to stop laughing at me"
IDIOT!

Does anyone know if that is a hearing aid he is wearing?

Um, yes. I should go and lie down in a darkened room with a cool cloth over your forehead. Try not to think about your strange and unnatural sado-masochistic fantasies - they will do you no good.

He looks so much better since he got rid of the spikes.I always felt he was too old for them anyway.

I think you will find that is the ear piece to his mic pack, so that the sound man can pick his voice up, without having to stand reallllllllly close to the action, with the "boom" mic (the one with the furry cover )

I don't think Gordon needed to wear one

Errrm....I think you'll find it's an earpiece to the production gallery. And Ramsay wore one too.

It is indeed an ear piece so that the producer can make him over react and point him to areas of the kitchen where he can 'explode'. But why can't they tell him to keep his voice consistent. When he's play acting and trying to sound tough - he sounds all deep and shouty and when he's generally walking round the kitchen talking he sounds mino syllabic and so quiet - god bless him but he can't act!

JC is a god though. Although he needs to tie his hair back and keep it out of the food.

Angus? He's being paid too much money - look awake Angus.

Thank you. I just didn't notice that JC was wearing one too but I'll look out for it later.

Gary Rhodes is play-acting, trying to ape GR. I guess the producers told him to do this. I know people who have met GR and they all say, without exception, what a genuinely nice man he is.

I don't think they should have mucked around with the format. The original could have sustained a second or possibly third outing.

Extremely

I think Gordon was a bit of a pantomine dame with all his displays of temper and perfectionism whereas Gary seemed to have a genuinely nasty streak. It can't have helped him much knowing that he's pitted aganist a French lurve God (yes, I know JC swears a bit but with that accent you just can't take it seriously).

PS Loved the half hearted 'cheers' that came Gary's team when they were chosen
