Jamilia Bottom 2 - No surprise

I was not surprised Jamilia was in the bottom 2 and was quite pleased.

I do not find her likeable. Also on Loose Women she is downright obnoxious which will not do her any favours.

Her dancing may improve but she is not likeable and will find herself in the bottom 2 most weeks till she goes.

There's no way that she deserved to be in the bottom 2. You're allowing your view on her personality to cloud your judgement.

I must confess that I find Jamelia's personality and constant girlie giggles a bit wearing but she can obviously dance. Jamelia has lots of rhythm, natural timing, some athleticism, sex appeal (when she doesn't speak) and presence on a dance-floor.

There were minor technical issues but she's certainly one of the better dancers in the competition. Could go a long way with refinement and better choreography

Her dance was far superior to a number of other competitors including Botox O'Donnell and Ainsley Harriot.

Botox has good timing but that's it...he literally has no life in his body and has had so much plastic surgery that his face no longer works properly. Watching his utterly lifeless, insipid and personality-less Charleston was 2 mins of my life I'll never get back.

Ainsley has a really fun, awesome personality but he's like a Black Uncle Fester trying to dance. He's absolutely f**king terrible in every conceivable way.

I felt sorry for Jamelia and I don't think song choice helped. Look at the two who were in the dance off: Iwan was "sexy and I know it" and Jamelia was "don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?"
I'm not convinced the Strictly audience really goes for that kind of arrogant, sexed-up, arse-wriggling pop. I'm not saying a really standout performance wouldn't overcome it, but it doesn't help when others are doing cute, smiley crowdpleasers. I think it's also why the rumba can be the dance of doom.
Re Ainsley - his posture is dire but I absolutely loved his salsa. I'd take one of his spirited, imperfect performances over Daniel's rather dull efforts any day.

Not likable to you. But to many others she may well be. Loose Women is a show and the the participants are paid to be controversial. Their views may or may not be what they actually believe. Sorry you do not understand that!

I don't watch Loose Women so can only judge from what I see on SCD. She seems nice enough but the giggling is irritating me I must admit.

She didn't deserve to be in the bottom 2 though. I want to see what she can do with other dances.

Think her presence in the bottom two may well have had more to do with her presence behind the desk in Loose Women than with her dancing. Every year, we read complaints on these forums about SCD not being fair because some contestants have more dance experience than others. If that is the case, choosing not to vote for someone because of what they did in an unrelated programme is not fair either. For what it is worth, I don't think she deserved to be in the bottom two. I wasn't exactly enthralled by the dance, but I thought she carried it off quite well.

I do feel a bit sorry for Ola because Iwan, patently, was hopeless. Not his fault. He was born with two left feet. At least the others seem to have something to work with (not very much in some cases, but something). She had nothing. There again, he was no worse than Scott Mills last year who was kept in by his radio fan base long past his sell-by date.

I agree with you about Jamelia in she is a far better dancer then most, but I'm afraid will find herself in the dance off again and again like a lot of previous celebs, because a lot don't like her .

You also showed your complete ignorance about Daniel . Daniel has had Nothing done to his face . So cut out your lies and slander .

I am sorry, but her dance did not have minor technical issues, it was very badly executed, comletely incorrect in every single step she took. Yes she performed it with her face, but I cannot even begin to say how many problems there were with her legs and feet, she never closed her feet, lockstep is called lockstep for a reason, you lock your legs together not gallop along, flexed feet, pidgeon toed, bent strange leg when she kicked it. These are not minor issues at all and it is just scratching the surface.

Daniel on the other hand performed a clean charleston in comparison.

Im not keen on Jamelia but she didn't deserve to be in the dance off. However this is Strictly and we all know that its a personality contest in the first few weeks so if u dont get*the*votes it doesnt matter even if you can dance like Gene Kelly. It usually works out in the end.

I agree with your comments about Jamelia but O'Donnell has had nothing done to his face?! What are you smoking?!

It's very obvious that he's had plastic surgery! He's obviously had multiple Botulinum toxin injections and Hyaluronic acid filler treatment as he has virtually no dynamic wrinkles or static wrinkles on this forehead - impossible for a man his age.

I even think he may have had chemical peels, laser resurfacing and brow-lifts judging by his total lack of facial expressions. He has virtually no worry or laugh lines in the corner of his eyes. Moreover, he seems to have problems raising his eyebrows and when he does, the eyebrows rise on the lateral edge but not in the middle.

His teeth are obviously veneered and far too white for a man his age.

Would you like me to continue?!

I thought she did a much better performance in the dance off by a significant margin. If only she could keep her feet closer together.

It's Week 2 and these issues can be sorted. She has obvious natural talent and rhythm (hardly surprising considering her music background) even though there were numerous technical issues in her dance.

Daniel hardly performed a clean Charleston tbh - there were multiple errors, his timing went awry (that's his main strength) and at one point he very obviously forgot his routine. As for his routine, it was insipid, boring and lacked energy. I know he's 53 but that lack of athleticism and energy will ultimately hinder his progress and is perhaps why Strictly is unfair.

There's no doubt who has the most potential out of the two and it's certainly not Daniel.

I thought she improved considerably from the first week, given the chance she could be one of those to go on a 'journey' if she is kept in long enough. Problem is, due to her outspoken opinions on LW, I can't imagine she is going to have much of a fanbase out there.

I know it's meant to be a dancing competition and all that but personality/likeability does come into it whether we like it or not. Unfortunately from what I have seen of her on LW, she isn't all that likeable!

Jamelia had crazy legs and Tristan is too laid back in his teachings- 'oh oh so long as we had fun'. They should have kept Trent or Robin I told y'all but you said Tristan is cute blah blah blah. Jamelia was never going to win the popular vote regardless of loose women - who watches that shit regularly besides the OP NELLIENASH.

And exactly, who are you to tell me?!

By the way, try to understand the differences between Libel and Slander. Moreover, what I've said isn't Libel because it isn't a false statement.

Have a nice day.

I said his was clean in comparison to Jamelia, which is very true.

It may be week two, I will tell you those issues are not quickly sorted, believe me, they are extensive and not small issues at all. Everything starts at the feet, her whole dance was flawed, not one or two misteps, everything about her feet and legs was wrong. Easily sorted would be to get Georgia to lead with the heel, tis is way beyond that, truly.

Yes she has some rhythm, so do a lot of people, it doesn't make you a dancer, not by a mile.

I was surprised to be honest, I thought Kirsty or Anthony would join Iwan in the dance off. She needs to cut out the silly giggling though.

Rhythm and timing helps enormously. You can't teach it. You either have it or you don't.

If you don't have natural rhythm and timing, you can be taught all the steps but you'll still be a shit dancer and we've seen many on Strictly.

I'd bet good money she'll last longer than O'Donnell.

I was surprised as well. I thought Kirsty would be in the bottom two and was shocked that it was Jamelia. Her dance was by no means perfect, but it wasn't dance-off bad.

I do think that some might her a little hard to like. Loose Women aside, the whole little madam routine she pulled during the launch show about which dancer she wanted might have lost her some votes.

I agree, I do not hink him a good teacher and I am kind of bemused when people say how good looking he is, I just do not see it, to me he is average at best and I wouldn't look twice at him walking down the street.

Yes it helps alot, on this I do not disagree, I also agree if you can perform the steps but not in time you are not going to be great.

But dance is so, so much more then that and Jamelia was awful in every other way, timing means absolutely nothing when your legs and feet are so very awful.

To highlight how timing means nothing in all, do you know who else has excellent timing? Jeremy, he is always perfectly on the beat. Do you think he is also a potential contender?

Dance wise she didn't deserve bottom 2 but she isn't coming across well, lazy & giggly & clearly doesn't listen to Tristan. I think she thought she'd be better than she is and doesn't get its as much about technique as performance

I love Tristan but she needs someone tougher - Artem would have kicked her arse into shape

maybe this might be the boot up the bum she needs....

I disagree, Jeremy's timing isn't that great (seen multiple times when he's been out) but that's the least of his issues tbh.

Jeremy is appalling for a number of reasons. He's far too tall at 6ft 4 and far too skinny (If he weighs much more than 12 stone I'd be absolutely astonished). He's gawky, ungainly, his limbs are too long and consequently he's borderline impossible to teach. You rarely if ever see good dancers his height. He will never look anything but supremely awkward on a dance-floor.

After Iwan, he's comfortably the worst dancer still left - probably closely followed by Carol Kirkwood.
