I do not find her likeable. Also on Loose Women she is downright obnoxious which will not do her any favours.

Her dancing may improve but she is not likeable and will find herself in the bottom 2 most weeks till she goes.”

Thats really not very fair.

I detest The Abomination that is Andre yet I can see his 'talent'.

Imho she didn't deserve to be in the 'dance-off'.

Huh? Like I said above the host of LW has said her question referred to size 20 and beyond. Therefore Jamelia's answer was specific to that.

If she did say the comment about peeps above a size 12, I find that hysterical as she will be joining their ranks soon! Her bum & boobs are looking pretty pulchritudinous IMHO & if she doesn't stay in & loose some poundage she'll be trying to squash into a 12.
Hoist by her own petard methinks.
Her face on the results show was a picture, she looked genuinely shocked not to go through. It must be hard to realise the public are not keen enough on you to vote.”

She didn't. She's a gobby mare who really needs to concentrate and her actual comments were still ill-advised but she didn't say anything as ridiculous as that. Still, good for her that you think her bum and boobs are pulchritudinous. That's a nice thing to say.

Oh, my fault I read it as 14 and above. That is my fault!

Still, I would never, ever say someone should be made to feel uncomfortable in order to lose weight and this is he way to do it. I mean a person could have been very slim and then put on weight due to illness/treatment, so they most likely feel bad enough.

Well I don't know if I should put it down here, I posted it twice and someone moaned about it that I had said it.

Anyway, she got a dog, it got big and did big toilets, she didn't want to pick up big toilet so she handed her dog into the police and got a small dog that does a small toilet. She also seemed quite proud of it. For me, as a dog owner and lover, it was a disgusting thing to do.

I agree, however, I don't believe it came from a malicious place. She was trying to make a case for improving unhealthy eating habits and obesity but still it was ill-advised.

In our neck of the woods pulchritude is alluding to a curvy, plus sized big & beautiful woman! I expect it has been adapted through time like 'gay' & 'fit'.
Now personally I find Jamelia's curves very alluring & sexy but to me she looks a size 12, maybe it's the costumes or the TV making her look bigger than she actually is but it must be awkward for her if she did some '12+ bashing'.
Btw I do not consider a size 12-14 overweight for the average woman (obviously depends on height, BMI, fat percentage & body type).
No not impressed with her dog story, knowing most pooches handed into the police go to their local pound & if not found a rescue space unless they are lucky PTS; after they have served their seven days!
What a difference compared to Lesley Nichol (actress in Downton Abbey) who is a supporter of rescues.

On the odd occasion I've seen her on Loose Women she hasn't come across as the most coherent and has at times seemed a little out of her depth given some of the discussion topics.

That's as may be, but (1) I don't see how her views on dress size or animals affect the way she dances (2) Calling J obnoxious compared to some of the others on Loose Women is a bit of a laugh (3) On most reality shows, most of the Loose Women crowd get unfairly marked 'up', not unfairly marked down (4) I believe there's a degree of sour grapes arising from J's pop career etc. etc. etc.

If Tristan couldn't teach her the very basic technique of either the waltz or cha (unless she clean forgot it all) in over 3 weeks, then I can't rate his teaching.

Everyone on Loose Women is obnoxious! Nice to see Jamelia doing something else, I wish her luck.

I was suprised she was in the bottom 2. She is by no means the worst dancer in the group but the routine was pretty bad. I didn't like it (but loved Tristan's impromtu shouting throughout the routine ) I wonder if she was just incredibly self conscious of the whole routine and felt out of her comfort zone and that's why she didn't pull it off so well? Maybe that's why Tristan was saying all of that stuff to boost her confidence while she danced. She made a lot of mistakes even in the dance off and the pressure will be on her this week.
I do like Tristan as a professional dancer. I think he's a good new addition and it's a shame he hasn't really had a chance to shine but you'd have thought with someone young and capable he'd have more fun. In the training vids though it does look like they work hard and in the launch show, the group dance, I thought Jamelia was one of the stronger ones.

It doesn't. It does however mean she lacks the likeability factor for many people, which is pretty important in a show that is part dance competition, part popularity contest.

I'm actually rooting for her but that has more to do with Tristan than Jamelia

Did you not see her on the Bear Grylls programme. She was not very nice on there and moaned all the time. The others got fed up with her and it was a relief when she left.

I love the way she loves herself on the dance floor - it's as if she is completely oblivious to what her feet and legs are doing

Yeah me,
Love me,
Just me.
Forever me

Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.

So true - just ask Jamelia

I am utterly disgusted at that. She shouldn't be allowed to have any more animals if she can't be a responsible, caring owner. The sooner they bring back the dog licence, the better.

As we all know, people can be overweight for all sorts of reasons. It's not exactly helpful is it to hear prissy madames like Jamelia spouting off about banning them from high street shops? In effect she wants to shame them .. and this from a woman who cr*ps on about empowerment and self esteem!

She's not the worst dancer .. but as we all know this competition is also about popularity and I think she ranks pretty low on popularity (well .. obvs after Saturday's result.) I doubt she'll get much of a bounce.

I've not seen Jamelia on TV before. I don't watch any of the programmes mentioned on this thread. Judging her solely from Strictly I think she comes across well and as though she could learn. It is possible for people to change and may be she has had second thoughts about earlier words and/or actions.
