She lasted 2 weeks on Mission Survive: no one got voted out the first week (sound familiar?) then went out second after Max George - for "not being a team player...."

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see history repeating itself.

As far as her dancing is concerned, I thought she was very loose and uncontrolled in the cha cha cha, and the way she had to keep shifting her hair off her face spoiled what flow there was in the dance. Her performance was good, but not enough to cover the lack of basic technique.

I'm pretty indifferent to her altogether: from the things she says sometimes, I feel that she doesn't always think before she speaks and may come across as uneducated. I have no idea if this is true, and I really don't care. Just saying....

From what I remember of the plus size Jamelia comments, I think there was talk of the obesity epidemic on the show and she mentioned the banning of size 20 plus clothes from the high street as a possible solution. I get where she is coming from, speaking as someone who has always been plus size 20 from my mid teens I did often get depressed about not being able to buy, what I considered, particularly stylish clothes so I did make the effort to lose weight to be able to look similar to my friends and not feel left out.

However, many things can happen and certain medical causes do make it difficult to lose the weight and personally I don't think anyone should be limited to what clothes they can/can't wear. This goes for someone who is a size zero too. I think her comments were likely coming from a good place but as she hasn't been in that size 20 plus position she doesn't know that actually, getting plus size clothes on the high street is pretty difficult anyway!

Not so much now as you have Yours, Simply Be, Evans etc. Back when I was a teen there was Evans and that was it. There are also stores that stock sizes up to the mid size 20 but the clothes are limited and they don't make many of them so the sizes tend to sell out very quickly.

Sorry, totally off topic!

She's not the worst dancer .. but as we all know this competition is also about popularity and I think she ranks pretty low on popularity (well .. obvs after Saturday's result.) I doubt she'll get much of a bounce.”

Facebook basically hate her, all the voting stems from there. Facebook is starting to get like twitter in the sense of bear baiting and jibes really. They perceive it as banter, where as I perceive it as nastiness.

Even one rude user called her a cow, shows their iq then. To be fair they act more suited to being a fan for brain dead shows like BBUK or TXF.

Is it just women who don't like her?

Yes. Every single woman ever born dislikes her, and every single man in the world does not.

I'm not sure of the reason for this incontrovertible fact, but I'm pretty sure it's probably got something to do with the fact that all women are jealous of all other women. It's usually that.

seem to be enough men on here who don't like like her and women who do

personally I dont watch any of the shows she's on - I find her giggling irritating mostly because she's not listening to what Tristan is saying but there are plenty of men who annoy me more this year

or is this a prelude to all the women don't like her because she's very pretty and has amazing legs and women are all bitter jellus hatahs who vote with their ovaries?

No, its a genuine question.

It's a very lazy question, centred on a sweeping and unfounded generalisation. But I think you probably knew that before you posted it.

Oh, so many unsupported generalisations. And phrased with so little charm.

Oh I don't know I would have said insightful and accurate, oh wait is dancingbear a woman?

Obviously then, it was spiteful and nasty.

I bet she has long legs and a stunning face as well, in which case I am absolutely shocked and will never ever vote for her should she be on SCD.

If that is the case, choosing not to vote for someone because of what they did in an unrelated programme is not fair either. For what it is worth, I don't think she deserved to be in the bottom two. I wasn't exactly enthralled by the dance, but I thought she carried it off quite well.

I do feel a bit sorry for Ola because Iwan, patently, was hopeless. Not his fault. He was born with two left feet. At least the others seem to have something to work with (not very much in some cases, but something). She had nothing. There again, he was no worse than Scott Mills last year who was kept in by his radio fan base long past his sell-by date.”

I didn't take to Iwan - He came across as really desperate.

He's gawky, ungainly, his limbs are too long and consequently he's borderline impossible to teach. You rarely if ever see good dancers his height. He will never look anything but supremely awkward on a dance-floor.

After Iwan, he's comfortably the worst dancer still left - probably closely followed by Carol Kirkwood.”

Hello James, far too tall???
Ian Waite, professional dancer, 6 foot 3 inches, every inch a dancer and graceful withal. Watch YouTube clips of the first 6 series.

Jeremy is not a 'stick insect,' like the swimmer Mark, and may need a couple more weeks of training and a decent ballroom dance to show off what he is made of. So hold the "rarely" untill you have seen his foxtrot.

Jamelia definitely did not deserve to be in the dance off and I felt for her. She suffered from going first plus a ridiculous song choice which negatively played into her diva image. Yes her technique wasn't the best but there were far worse. She looked totally crestfallen on receiving the news.

She can be annoying but all this vilification like she murdered somebody is plain ridiculous. Personally, I will not allow any preconceived opinion on ANYONE cloud my judgement when it comes to voting If Jamelia danced the best one particular week then I'm voting for her regardless of what she may or may not have said in the past on Loose Women.

I always champion an underdog and hope that Jamelia's appearance in the dance off will inspire to greater things and that her participation in the show will ultimately turn public perception of her around. I refuse to jump on the bandwagon of the vast number of those who clearly want her to fail.

Saw Jamelia on a two year old episode of 8 out of 10 Cats last night, she was asked if she would ever be on Strictly and she replied "Hell no", then went on to say she had been offered shed loads of money to be on. She must be facing hard times as she has obviously changed her mind!!

It was the scathing turning up her nose way she said it that amused me, she said they offered her enough money to buy a house. She can change her mind as much as she likes, I am just surprised the BBC were desperate enough to invite her again!

For me Jamelia, Kirsty, Carol, Anthony and Jeremy are equally bad (in different ways) and I suspect each of them will be eliminated in the next 5 weeks in no particular order.

I expected Jamelia and Anthony to be good dancers. Just goes to show how wrong you can be.

I think he could have been if he wasnt recovering from a serious shoulder injury - Im not sure what part of doing Strictly he thought would be a good idea when he cant fully use one of his arms

I like Jamelia. She has said some stupid things on occasion and beared the brunt of it from the media and social media, but I really don't think she's that bad and I don't really understand why people seem to dislike her with such venom. She's not exactly Katie Wotsit.

I also thought her dance off dance showed she has promise.

I like Jamelia too, but then again I don't know much about her, although I have read about some of the things she's supposed to have said. She looked like she's got potential last weekend, but if she's really as unpopular as it sounds her time will be limited.

I'm firmly in the can't abide her camp, she's a ghastly mixture of ignorance and arrogance - e.g. her pontificating that breast feeding should be compulsory.

I watched a documentary on BBC3 last night where they did an experiment to look at how people's unconscious prejudices affected the way they viewed certain races . Black women apparently were viewed negatively by more people than than any other group . I don't know if this has anything to do with the views expressed about Jamelia on here . People apparently don't like her because of Loose Women or because she giggles too much or she's a diva , all excuses , but if it was her dancing that was being judged then she wouldn't be in the bottom 2 , period !
