I do hate it when race is dragged into an opinion on a person. Why can people not be liked because of how thy act and conduct themselves and the things they say without it having anything to do with race?

What if the same people who dislike her were wantng Alesha and Natalie to win in past years? They also support Venus and Serena Williams and Jess Ennis? What if they also dislike other women who are white?

I do not like her for who she is and how she treats animals and she is not good at dancing.

She does herself no favours by opening her mouth before engaging her brain.

In the first show, before the partners were revealed she said she wouldn't be happy if she got a certain partner. Why say that? Think it but don't say it. It seems quite boorish. None of the other celebrities said anything like that.

I personally think she doesn't have much confidence on the dance floor. I thought she would be a lot better and I hope she improves.

I tend to agree with you. Take Oti for example. I haven't seen a bad word said about her on this forum.

I wouldn't like to know what you'd do if she won - her being the Devil Incarnate in your eyes an' all...

If she won I'd shrug and get on with it, people win things that are not my favourite all the time. Life goes on...

Looking at last week though, I doubt you would have to worry!

Yes, I really like Oti! Beautiful dancer too.

I like to think I can just see people as people and not as the race they are and not ever dislike someone for their race, I don't see that that factors into it.

Er, because she was asked a question (by Alison, I think) which led to that response - whereas no other celebrities were asked similar - that's why they didn't say it. And the reason Jamelia was the only one asked is because she has clearly been cast in the diva role. She was just playing up to how she was being stereotyped.

At least if you are going to accuse somebody of something, make sure that thing is fully in context.

Me either, quite the reverse in fact, she seems to be most people's fave newbie from the snippets that I've read so far.

I'm glad to hear you would just shrug...I just thought with the amount of time you have invested in telling us how much you hate someone you don't even really know, I thought it may have been the end of the world for you as we know it if she ever won...my bad...

Yep, Christmas is just after, great time of year, so I tend not to dwell on a tv show.
By the looks of it I am clearly not alone in my dislike of her, I have not invested much time, my other posts here wereabout her actual dancing, in which I put my dislike of her to the side and just looked at her actually dancing.

Considering how much you defend a person you do not know, are you sure you will be ok when she leaves in a short while?

What about Mark? He was good from day one.

That is not the reason she was asked, they are usually asked.

Best to get your facts right before you point the accusing finger!

I am NOT a Jamelia fan which you would have picked up on some few posts ago - if you had bothered to read them that is. If I can quote myself for your perusal

She can be annoying but all this vilification like she murdered somebody is plain ridiculous. Personally, I will not allow any preconceived opinion on ANYONE cloud my judgement when it comes to voting If Jamelia danced the best one particular week then I'm voting for her regardless of what she may or may not have said in the past on Loose Women.

I always champion an underdog and hope that Jamelia's appearance in the dance off will inspire to greater things and that her participation in the show will ultimately turn public perception of her around. I refuse to jump on the bandwagon of the vast number of those who clearly want her to fail.”

I'm not supporting her in Strictly (Anthony, Carol and recently Katie & Anita are my faves) and I do find her annoying to an extent but I wish her no ill - and will drink to her success if she wins - regardless of the little I know about her outside of the show.

What you can RIGHTLY accuse me of is giving EVERYONE a fair crack of the whip even if they are not my favourites.

Question is, can the same be said about you...???

Was he??? Not on the version of Strictly I watched...shyness and self-confidence were the order of the day with him at first and all of this hampered his first performances

Really? Well you tell me the answers the other 14 celebrities gave. Should be easy - nobody has forgotten what Jamelia said after all...

Oti is an absolute goddess! It's not about colour or beauty .. it's about likability.

I too like what I've seen of her - but three months ago, many of us had never set eyes on her. So how well do we REALLY know her? Perhaps if she was sat on the panel of Loose Women, she may make some comments that get our backs up. Lovely as she seems, I'm sure even she has some flaws about her...

Sorry. You do not support her, I did not know.

Yes I give everyone every chance, the rest of them I wish nothing but good things for and like them too.
I even wish she would dance better as that is better to watch.

However, she has proven to me what she is, so yes, I do not like her. So that's that. I'm not really one for immense ill feeling for random people on the whole, I just disapprove of what she did.

I appreciate where you are coming from though.

Anyway apologies if you reply and I do not respond, I am having to go and rescue a pregnant cat in 15 mins and do not know if I will be back tonight.

Oh, one more thing, what did you mean by Ramps?

His chacha, he came out and sold it and I think he did tango next if I recall, and finished very high up the leaderboard too on both.

I believe that they usually either say any would do, or say they may have their eye on someone, but do not say there are some they do not want at all.
However I do not think what she said was all that bad at all. But I didn't mention that.

from what I've seen on strictly...she has great legs. and seems quite a warm and likeable personality. her dancing hasn't been great but she certainly has some potential . i don't watch daytime TV or much TV at all, and I don't read gossip magazines, so its hard to get outraged by things i don't know about and have no need to read anyway

I've just spent ages trying to find the interview but can't. However. if that;s what was said then fair dos. She does say silly things sometimes but it has no bearing on her dancing ability. I hope she bounces back.

I just watch for the dancing and music.

In my experience that will change as soon as she starts to show some attitude/personality .

She didn't come across as remotely insightful on ITT tonight. She gave the impression that she thought she was too good to be in the B2

Fortunately Tristan's feet were firmly on the ground and he was completely aware of why they ended up in the B2. She would do well to listen to him and bin her unattractive sense of entitlement.

tbh I had Iwan and Jeremy down for the bottom 2...but am pleased that 'dad dancer' jeremy got voted through. We need a bit of comedy to last this year..he and ainsley are 'it'. It is already getting way too serious...I'm not keen on jamelia either, she was a nightmare on that bear grylls show...but she obvs can dance a bit...I've watched her videos when she was a bit younger!!
