I am curious about what is the filming order of the prerecorded bits, like the pro dances, musical guests, couple results, lens Lens...

(pretty sure it has been explained before, but I forgot. )

muscial guest is usually recorded just before the live show on a saturday starts

pro dance is usually recorded when the live show finishes, there is usually a break between the live show finishing and the start of the sunday show being filmed

^ the musical act sometimes switches - I was there last year on Poppy Weekend and Katherine Jenkins was the musical guest and she filmed her bit after the live show finished

Lens Lens is filmed at some point during the recording of the sunday results

Couples results is the last thing filmed for the sunday show

The opening group dance by the professionals is often recorded at the previous week's show. When I was there last year they started, in the time available before the live show, by recording the 'Frozen' dance which was then shown, after editing, the following Saturday.

The previously recorded group dance was shown as a VT at the start of the live show that week and we had to clap and cheer in the appropriate places when directed by the crew as though it was live.

Out of curiosity, when did they decide to start doing a sunday results show? It all seems like a tiring saturday night haha
