I hate the comedy VTs and they are one of the reasons I've gone off Strictly in the last few years, but I can['t see it ever changing back to showing training footage.

In the Radio Times this week, there's an interview with Charlotte Moore who is the controller of BBC1. She is quoted as saying "8 to 10 million people watch Strictly so I know that we're getting it right".

Typical BBC arrogance *sigh*

Training room clips.... No contest.

I loathe the cringeworthy "comedy" clips and I really pity the poor pros having to stoop to the level that some of these clips fall to.

The training room clips used to give you more of an insight as to how much improvement the celeb was having during the week, what kind of teaching methodology the pro was undertaking and how they actually get on (beyond the contrived smiles of Saturday in some cases)

I really miss the training clips but doubt that they will be brought back unless someone is watching DWTS and comes up with a "innovative" idea of introducing training room trailers.

Hate the "comedy clips". I want to see training room clips so we can see the progress made throughout the week. Unfortunately the "comedy clips" are the brain child of the producer Louise Rainbow, as was the introduction of all the props. So unless she goes I'm afraid we are stuck with them for the foreseeable.

I think they do it as part of the family show feel. I dislike them but my friend has 2 children (8 and 11) and they think they are funny (well, not all of them but sometimes they do).

I just zone out when they are on. I'm usually crocheting or sewing at the same time.

I'm 99% in favour of training footage. The 1% remembers Nancy in a field of cows shrieking "THIS IS NO MADRID!"

I cannot STAND the current VTs. They're all so forced and contrived.

Just show me some proper, natural VTs - whether it be dance content, the partnership between the celeb and pro or a bit of personality from the celeb... I don't really care what it is, as long as it isn't the nonsense we get now.
