In order to safely jailbreak an iPod (touch), you will need to know:
a) the iPod touch model and (not essential) storage size
b) currently installed iOS version on it
c) what to do if things don't complete successfully, which can be learned from visiting various websites which cover iOS jailbreaks
Please don't visit random websites looking for info on jailbreaking as there is all sorts of dodgy info on them. Do the research first before blindly using a tool to do the job. There are tools which will do it on the right devices and iOS versions perfectly 95% of the time, but the other 5% or not having the right hardware or software could result in trouble. You need to know what to do in advance when things fail.
