This years voting thread will be open from Friday. As the series is reduced I think that's probably for the best and then have it open throughout CBB when interest levels on the forum should be high

I personally think it better and fairer to wait to the end of the series, all other hms from previous series will be rated on their full time in the house, whereas the current (remaining) hms have not completed their run and we have no way of knowing what will happen in the remainder and whether or not it may have any affect on our rating. I never rate until the series is over, in case anything important happens and so that all hms are rated on their entire time in the house and all things are taken into consideration for all hms.

I agree.
Fair comments and off course people are entitled to vote whenever they want - voting will be open for a fair amount of weeks.
Voting has always been open from around mid to late in the series and really it comes down to how busy the forum is as well. When the series and CBB ends, the forum dies a death and therefore getting anywhere near a good amount of votes would be a struggle.
Therefore as with every other year in the past, the voting will be open before the end of the series and people can wait to vote if they wish to in order to see if their opinions change or if anything major happens.
Personally having watched HMs for 4/5 weeks I can usually gauge where to stick them on my list.
