He seems to be so popular so far. I wouldn't be surprised if he beat " better dancers " in public votes.

I actually enjoy him on the show . He's clearly working so hard and enjoying the whole experience. What's not to love ? I would rather see him outlast a lot of people this year and I hope it happens. His charleston is the most watched dance after Jay this week ( he might even overtake him ). Last week, he was in the top 3 as well.

I see him making it to Blackpool at the very least.

I think he'll be a mid table finisher.

He could do but I sincerely hope he doesn't. He bores me to tears I'm afraid.

If he really has got the massive support that has been mentioned , then he could .......not saying that he should, but definately he could get there

I doubt very much he will make the final. But I think he has all the potential to be one of the most likeable contestants this season purely because he is impossible - imo - not to effortlessly warm to.

I thought he would really annoy me more. He's not a good dancer, but definitely not the worst.

Nah he won't make the final but he should comfortably equal Sergeant or nearly.

I honestly believe that Daniel will win this year. A lot of ppl are really underestimating his HUGE fan base.

I personally do not like him, never have. I find him lacking in personality, wooden and he has no expression in his monotone voice.

This year's winner will win through popularity and not for their dancing, sadly this will be Daniel

I'd say he is a dead cert to make it to the final or very close. His fan base is not only huge but extraordinarily dedicated.

Blackpool would be a good time for him to go unless he can throw caution to the wind and shake that ass like he's never shaken it before

Hopefully he pulls a John Sergeant (poor Kristina again ), as we don't need another series 6.

What lunacy. Could we really all be talking about the same Daniel O'Donnell, so laid back he's almost horizontal?
Was surprised to hear he was a household name. Perhaps I'm not house trained, because I never heard of him.
Interested to hear he's a philanthropist. I wonder how many stamps he's got

No I don't think he'll win but it's highly probable that he might make the finale

Final no, but he could go far with his fan base as they seem dedicated.
Usually it drips away though, even if they have a lot of fans, as it gets more seriously about the dances, but you never know.

He seems like a very nice guy though, quite harmless. I also thought him to be dull in the first show, but he made me laugh on ITT and now every time I see him I end up laughing at something he says or his dancing.

I promise I won't be 'dripping away' amelia I intent to stay firm right to the end for Daniel.

Not a snowflake in hell's chance of winning, but Daniel is more likeable than John Sergeant - seems to work harder too. And he would never have the hubris to withdraw due to being "too popular".

I think - correct me if I'm wrong - that Sergeant got as far as he did because it was in the "no dance off" era. With dance offs, I can only think of 1 ,max 2 people, who never got under the red light. Personally I think Peter André's fanbase would be larger than Daniel's especially in the later stages of the competition.

Nowadays it's very easy for a voted midfielder to find him/herself in the bottom 2 (as Jamelia found out, to her great astonishment) and the judges will remove Daniel on the basis of his dancing form if it is not better than that of the other couple.

If Daniel is pulling in the most votes then he can get to the final. I'm guessing that even if he is puling in the most votes now though he will struggle to do so in the quarters and semis when the other celebs bring out some blockbuster dances. My guess is that he'll reach the quarter finals.

On the other hand his footwork is better than some and Kristina is both a good teacher and choreographer. He might survive a dance off with some good ballroom but if he gets a rumba on a bad week then he's surely gone.

I don't know aboutthat, I mean Peter may be popular, but he didn't win I'm a celeb and nobody seems to buy his songs.

DOD fans seem more the sort who will pick up the phones.

Me too Starpuss. He has endeared himself to me by his sense of the ridiculous and his gentle manner. I think he has a strong work ethic too.
