I've got to say I preferred it long.
Does anyone agree with me?

I love it short and curled, with a fringe like when he was in The Wanted. I hated what they did with his hair for the Waltz.

I don't agree. I prefer it short.

I liked it long and think it would have been fine pulled back into a low pony tail - not into a bun! I liked it when he'd had it cut - they had brushed it forward but agree I really didn't like what they did to it on Saturday. I did wonder though if the hat he'd been wearing had pushed it up oddly - hat hair!

This for me as well. The style he walked out with from the salon was great but I didn't like what SCD did with it in on Saturday one little bit.

I liked the way the hairdresser styled it after he had it cut, maybe he should have styled it for the Waltz.
What name??

That poufy look last week was ridiculous

I just love the curl of his hair so long or short I think it looks good. Having it longer would've been more versatile throughout the series but too late now. In the titles where it's long, it looks gorgeous.

SCD's styling was terrible. All puffed up. It aged him horribly. It suits being tossled and curly.

If SCD want it easier to manage then they should get him to trim it even shorter, A really short crop would suit him well as he has a very handsome face.

Quite honestly it looked crap long and short. What a ridiculous look for a young man.

he looks like one of those lickles babies in a pram with the short curly hair sucking something

Much better at this mid length. He's got quite a big frame so this shorter cut lets him look like a man instead of an overgrown boy child. I'm assuming the new cut is trendy enough for the fans, I suppose, shows his sensitive side?

I hated it long and the new cut is bloody awful. The beard needs to be tidied up. No more creeping down his neck. I don't get why the Strictly makeup and hair team don't sort him out.

He looked great like this:

Better short. Can at least take him seriously.

I like it long but tied back. Do like the short look from the salon but not the styling Strictly gave him.

I like it now, well compared with the horrendous mess it was week 1.

On Sunday I posted in Jay's Appreciation thread wondering if there would be a thread about Jay's hair ... and here it is I seem to remember there was a thread about Louis's hairstyle too, anyway, I did like the long hair but I'm sure I'll get used to the shorter style

I think it's fine, he does not look like a homeless person anymore. He probably did not want it too short, thus the curls. It's an improvement for me.

They've cut it off a week early - he needed a ponytail for this weeks Pulp Fiction dance!

Very true. Slicked back pony would have been good, same as for Paso. I have Jay's hair thanks to a perm going awry. Tis not a good look. But Monkseal likened him to a young Noel Edmonds now he has had it cut and I cannot get that out my head.

jeebers. one young noel edmonds is bad enough, there's about a gazillion on that link...

as for jay, well on the haircut front he's gone from IVth form metal head to 45 year old bank clerk. hard to understand how anyone can get it so wrong

Looked much better tonight on ITT. Lovely that he donated his cut off locks to making wigs for people who need them. I do love him.
