Might still be a waltz-based AS.

Writing's on the Wall - fantastic that they've got the current number 1 for the rumba. Great song if it's going to be sung right - a lot of high notes ! Can't think either of the male vocalists in the band can match Sam Smith.

Oh yes I know that but with the difficulty with finding 3/4 and 6/8 tunes you think they'd save those songs for Waltz and VW

I think the thing about Carol doing an AS was just a mistake TBH - *every* other source apart from the website, including the Friday live show, said it was foxtrot.

While it's very epic and orchestral... I don't feel like this is a very good paso doble song. Something is really, really weird about the rhythm, like there's two different time signatures happening simultaneously. I'd love for a music genuis to explain why this is to me! There's a ballroom tango version I've heard at competitions but I'm sure they changed the time signature.

SO EXCITED ABOUT A PULP FICTION JIVE ON STRICTLY. I've wanted this for years. Literally years. And I thought the cantina band song would be great for quickstep or charleston so v excited about that (although what theyre gonna do with the theme I don't know...)

I agree. It could only have been used because it's so current, doesn't seem like any thought went into whether it actually fits the dance. Someone in production obviously really likes the song but they weren't able to book Sam Smith to perform it himself so had to use it for a dance. There's so many other songs that would have been lovely for a Rhumba.

I think the music choices are actually very good. Just hope they don't fill up all the dances with loads of props.

Clearly the Strictly producers started running out of song titles at a certain point.

Also Anthony doing a pasadoble to Eye of The Tiger.

I wonder how on earth the Strictly producers thought that one up? Why do I have the feeling that the theme of it will be that he's a boxer?

Clearly the BBC's obsession with Sam Smith hasn't diminished either. I'd probably like the guy's songs if he wasn't so overplayed and treated like the 2nd coming of mankind.

Kevin and Kellie's music sounds ... interesting to put it mildly.

Hmm...

I hope Ainsley doesn't go completely OTT, Kirsty begins to resemble something more mobile than a decorative hatstand, Mr Andre doesn't hog the camera and Kellie and Kevin don't gurn their way through the charleston like Freddie "Parrot Face" Davies on acid thereby getting on my last nerve.

But none of that's going to happen either.

How many dances do Kirsty and Brendan have left now where her feet are allowed to leave the floor? Maybe Brendan will bust out an Argentine Tango if he's that desperate for her not to do any steps?”

I din't think the pros chose what dance they do each week. It's usually up to the producers along with the song.

Kind of excited to see everyone's costumes. I was expecting the worse but I'm pleasantly surprised with most of these songs

That will be a great Charleston to the Cantina band music Star Wars Music whoever thought of using that Bar scene music was clever.

Pretty sure Kirsty and Brendan are doing the Foxtrot, seems the website is making the same mistake they made with Carol last week by saying AS instead of Foxtrot

Interesting to see Anita's first ballroom - to see whether Gleb has taught her the basics right.
