Pixie also danced a Rumba to Sam Smith
i think Sam Smith songs are good for a Rumba because Rumba is a dramatic dance. so i like their Song Choice for Movie Week, maybe a nice dress for her, a James Bond tuxedo for Giovanni. |

Love Jay & Aliona's song - they will smash this out of the ball park.
I honestly don't think I'll be able to watch Daniel doing Summer Nights... ![]() EDIT: didn't recognise Kellie & Kevin's song until I looked it up on youtube - and realised I loved this too! Am expecting big things for their Charleston. Ditto. |

Anthony's Paso, i'm not looking forward to it, a one armed Paso.
Goodbye Anthony&Oti, the next boot is for you. and Daniel to Summer Nights ( dull and boring song from grease) |

Um, non-dancer's very ignorant question, just looking for reassurance really, but is Jay's song a jive? Aren't a twist and a jive quite different? As someone with no ear for these things at all.
I think Peter and Kellie have got the best choices, thinking of songs and memorable costumes - even if their dancing isn't perfect, people will love the costumes. Jeremy's and Daniel's should also keep them in. Not sure about Jay or Helen yet - might be great, they might not be confident enough yet. Anita should be safe and I think Georgia will be as well though I think it's a bit boring to have given her a Bond theme. I think Anthony and Jamelia have got the most forgettable songs, possibly Carol as well. Anthony's really got his work cut out with a one-armed paso, let alone to a pretty cliche song - hopefully his lovely personality will get him enough votes to keep him in a bit longer. And Jamelia needs to have a word with someone back stage (perhaps she needs to be the diva she's claimed to be a bit more) because her song choices aren't giving her a chance. |

There was someone in DWTS who only had one arm and one leg and he got through to the final. As in really only had one arm, not an arm which is injured. |

I am not sure what track Jay has but its more likely than not, not a jive. Jamilia certainly has her work cut out being asked to salsa to that. ![]() ETA some of the ballroom dancers were saying on here last night they don't envy Peter the task of trying to Paso to his track which accents the wrong beats for the dance. |

If you value your sanity JT I wouldn't enquire down that route too much. Very few tracks used on SCD are actually appropriate for the dance they are chosen for. It is my single greatest grievance with the show

Georgia is the only one with a wrong song choice, her own fault

So I think he should be safe as houses. There aren't many songs that can either be done straight or as comedy, most are one or the other. |

They will sail through to the next round. Meanwhile just a few people on here quite rightly and justly point out ' a paso it was not' . Its such a shame because each dance is wonderful in its own right so why the need to corrupt them I will never know. Hey ho. Still better than X factor etc. |

Peter's music and theme guarantees them top marks and thru to next week imo and of course will hide lack of paso in the routine - Janette's paso routine last year was poor imo

In their frantic desperation to appeal to everyone, and the kitchen sink The Producers (I use that term with deep reservations) choice of music has slowly slithered down hill until it really hits the lowest common denominator. Their choices are the kind of stuff sung out of tune at the end of a drunken wedding when the entire party is four sheets to the wind and stumbling about like toddlers. They rarely, if ever, relate to the dance in question and they repeat the naffest, shoutiest number every single year. It's so tedious, so predictable and so darn LAZY. Tacky as hell. And breathe. |
