It's only week two and we've had nerves for sympathy, tearful parent, fauxmance and a radical haircut. He's going to peak too soon.

Strange question, it's week two, we've seen some nerves and talent, and the best is yet to come.

He doesn't need to worry about running out of 'cards' to play because he's a good dancer with potential to get even better... that can potentially take him a very long way indeed.

Absolutely. I'm getting a bit tired of these people knocking Jay. Are they afraid he might beat their favourite. I'm surprised the OP hasn't mentioned his previous dance experience

Naaahhh he hasn't peaked. I would go as far to say he's only just begun as have many of the others such as Katie, Anita & Georgia (who have also has showmance claims thrown at them) et al. The only difference is that a certain element are apparently already trying to throw mud in the hope it sticks.

I guess time will tell and I look forward to seeing if he had indeed "peaked" at week 2 or not. I think you may be disappointed.

Yes, they are. Has any detractor adversely criticised his actual dancing?

It's started early. I suspect board experience or something, I really dislike this 'attack my 'enemy' stuff'.

Hey ho. Most just watch and Jay has been very interesting and pleasant to do so.

Oh, has he got a jive next. Now he could win me round with a good jive, because my problem with him at the moment is that he is a bit stiff and gawky . He will have to go a bit with the jive

I suspect it's because the OP's think their opinions are more profound and the questions asked more deep and intelligent.

They're not - they are exactly the same under slightly different titles.

To my eyes Jay is a mixed bag. He does some things really well but in other things he's still a novice. This means that as he gets more experience he should get a lot better and he has certainly not 'played all his cards'.

No nans, no babywarz, no visit from well-known/better-known colleague, no acting coach, no pets, no injury porn, no fitness training, no visit to a salsa club, no wardrobe malfunction, no "I'm so busy this week doing my day job", no dance that didn't suit...

Plenty of VTs left.

I agree - the best is yet to come. After seeing what Aliona did with Harry Judd is a matter of weeks I am very very excited to see Jay in the latter stages of the competition when he is already showing so much promise.

He hasn't done a barefoot contemporary routine yet, with spins, jumps and floorwork.

true. He hasn't burst into song about the insecure lief and rejection seeking work on the chorus line either.

So he was nervous, so were all the others. It was Tess that made a big thing out of it, not the best thing to do if someone is nervous, telling everyone ALL the time.

A lot more to come from Jay, I'm looking forward to see it and I like his new haircut.

What rubbish! Jay has made incredible progress in a short space of time, and I look forward to watching him blossom over the weeks to come. He is the Number One favourite in the Forum popularity Poll, and by the look of it, most of the members in this thread.

If anyone has peaked too soon it is Peter Andre.

He should try thinking of Ann Widdecombe.

He's a boy band member with a dance background, so he was destined to reach the final before the series started.
