Quote:
“1. The interviewers: Mike Soutar and Claudine Collins return, Claude pulls double duty in both the interview room and boardroom and new to the team is Linda Plant, interior designer to the rich and famous. (She's rather scary - and quite incisive too.)
2. PlayDate, Project X, Celebration Disco.
3. "Differeniates" (sic).
4. You will probably have to pause your TV to see it, but an early shot of the pages of one candidate's business plan reveals to the eagle-eyed. business-savvy viewer that their financial projections fall way short of what Sugar would expect to return on his £250k investment. If you spot it, you'll know that they are dead in the water before they've even started.
5. They all do it to a certain extent, but one of the candidates in particular gets hauled over the coals for over-egging their level of responsibility and authority on their CV.
6. As ever, Mike Soutar has a prop up his sleeve - he tests Joseph on his knolwedge of Sugar's book (which in The Final Five he said inspired him to set up in business himself). Was Joseph lying or telling the truth? We'll see.
7. "It's like a bad 1980s marketing book - it's mumbo-jumbo."
8. "This is a business plan which is sinking on its numbers."
9. According to one candidate's projections, they will burn through Sugar's £250k inside six months.
10. One candidate on their own business plan: "Absolute pretentious crap ... I was torn apart, quite right too."
11. One candidate is projecting a whopping £7m profit by year 3.
12. "I've never experienced anything like that in my life."”
1. From what I've seen, she takes an instant disliking to Charleine, which has already earned her points in my burn book. Nevertheless, I think I shall like her more than Ricky, who was a terrible interviewer. It was quite hypocritical of him to constantly be on the finalists' CV's when his was riddled with inaccuracies and boasts.
2. Undoubtedly Gary.
4. Charleine, I think, unfortunately. I could be wrong, but I can see her business plan being style over substance - like Bianca's, it seemed very good, but the economics are average-poor.
5. Hm, I wonder... (Richard!)
6. The editing will definitely play host here.
7. I think Richard's plan was something online? I'd say him. If not him, Gary.
8. This was in the previews, I believe, with Claudine saying it to Joseph..?
9. Charleine or Joseph. I've had Roisin vibes from Joseph from very early on, and he may be fired prior simply because of his numbers. Charleine because she doesn't strike me as a mathematics guru, more a "common-sense" candidate. I'd lean towards Charleine though.
10. Richard or Gary. Richard seemed quite unsure of himself in previews. I'd say him.
11. Vana. I can see her explaining how she got there too.
12. ALL OF THEM! (Vana's probably the one who said it though

)
