Backing dancers - Yay or Nay?

At the risk of sounding like a horse then it's nay nay nay from me.

I don't like the distraction of a ton of backing dancers e.g. Caroline and Pasha's dance last year with Turkish/Moroccan market theme springs to mind

If they have towels to mop Giovanni's face then I'm all for it. If they are other stage school kids from Emu's Pink Windmill accompanying Kellie, then I'm not!

Ah yes, now I remember that it was indeed Caroline - as I recall she was lifted and passed back by these so-called backing dancers.

I saw this as "baking dancers", that's what hanging out in Bake Off thread does to you I loved the backing dancers in Caroline's Istanbul routine, but that's about it, some even clashed with the celeb, was it Jake?
