Backing dancers - Yay or Nay?

At the risk of sounding like a horse then it's nay nay nay from me.

I don't like the distraction of a ton of backing dancers e.g. Caroline and Pasha's dance last year with Turkish/Moroccan market theme springs to mind

I saw this as "baking dancers", that's what hanging out in Bake Off thread does to you I loved the backing dancers in Caroline's Istanbul routine, but that's about it, some even clashed with the celeb, was it Jake?
