Sony Trinitron KV-X2562U
I have a mate that has a Sony Trinitron KV-X2562U. His SCART input tends to shift the picture a bit ,so he wants to use the engineer's menu to shift the picture back.
Does the anyone know if the picture can be shifted and how to get into the engineer's menu / screen please? Thanks |

Yes there is a service menu but I don't think the usual (more common) method for Sony's will work on your model but give it a try....
: put TV into standby then turn OFF completely, turn on mains power, (set goes into standby) now press 'i' ...'5'....'vol+'.. then 'TV (text clear)' If this works, you'll see a picture with 'TT__' in top right corner. Press Menu and select from the setup modes. If you get into the service mode DON'T press any numbers otherwise you might accidentally remove an item from the TV;s memory - to disable a feature like text, you enter a 2 digit number!...... See this site for a run thru on a Sony TV which may well work for you. click HERE and goto the Service mode section and read the bit for KV-28FX60 model. However I have a suspicion that this model needs another way into the service mode... but htis might help |

the i button is labelled ' i+ ' I think... it's the button that when you press it, it display the channel you're watching and channel information like stereo sound etc. It might be a square symbol with a very tiny ' i+ ' inside the square.
