Songs "from" the movies

I hate when they (e.g. Zoe) say " ‘Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel’ FROM Charlie’s Angels". Songs like this were issued way before the film and are merely USED IN the 'movie', as opposed to being written specifically for the film.. In this particular case, the use of the snatch of a song is a send-up, in any case.
This gives competitors a chance to pick almost any high-profile song they like, as there are so many used in films.
Having said all that, there are fewer culprits this year (and BTW X Factor is as bad if not worse)

I couldn't give a rats a** what song from the movies they use.

They usually put their own "individual/quirky" spin on what the song is supposed to mean.

What I hate is the over use of parody and props

I really think movie week needs to be about songs/scores so distinct with their films. Songs that totally remind you of that film or ones that were written for it! There are loads to choose from.... I hate how musicals are flung in to movie week, such a cop out!

and using the Eva Cassidy arrangement of "Somewhere over the rainbow" for Dani Harmer - when she was dressed as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz.

If a song was written for a movie - use the arrangement from the movie !!!

This week would be a really good opportunity to use some movie theme tunes and cinema scores that were never singles but instead we're probably going to get some Disney songs as usual. I'm a bit tired of the hard rock Paso's too.

Agree with both of the above...
