Humax HDR 2000T loss of sound.

Hi all,I have a Humax Freesat HDR 101S which workd fine, but I've now added Freeview HDR 2000T connected to Sony KDL-40D3500 T.V.(always switched on before Humax box's)
A lot of the time from start-up the 2000T has no sound, sometimes turning everything off and back on cures it,not always! Also guaranteed no sound if 2000T is recording?
Very frustrating,I'd be grateful if anyone has suggestion for cure(laymans terms please,as I'm not very tech savvy)
Many thanks,Rod.

Seems this problem of no sound is fairly common. Seems to be an HDMI handshaking problem with some TVs.

There are some suggestions for things you could try on the link below. If nothing there works and it's still under warranty it might be wise to send it back.

I cured the problem with the 2000T I had by taking it back to John Lewis, within 28 days, for a full refund.

So instead of 'intermittent no sound' you now have permanent no sound, plus permanent no picture - good 'cure'

As has been mentioned before, if you're going to do a "reset" with any PVR/HDR take a photo of your on screen "planned recordings" list, in case they all disappear, as is likely with a Humax re-install.

No, I bought a Panasonic. I also, at that stage, had my old BT Vision box.
