Creative Zen question
Hey!
A friend of mine has purchased a Creative Zen, and is having difficulty with the software... In iTunes, it shows: Lie Detector | Sleeper | The It Girl | Alternative & Punk With the CZ SW, it shows: 01 Lie Detector | Unknown | C:\Jimbo Jones\My Documents\My Music What a PITA, the only way he could get it back to how it was, was to pop all of the music back on to the HDD; every time he uses the SW, it screws up the track naming. And when you click on a track back in iTunes, it claims it cannot find it, so all of the music needs re-importing and it screws up the track titling to the same as the Creative Zen's SW! Cheers, Alex |

Ipods, Zens, and almost all other mp3 players out there use ID tags to identify the tracks storeed on them into Artist, album, Track name, track number, and Genre
from what i understand, Itunes uses a slightly different version of ID3 Tags, that are called ver2.2 9 orsomething like that) somewhere in Itunes there should be an option to change them to standard Ver1 or ver2 tags. More help can be found on some creative forums, such as the ones at http://wwwnomadness.net, as well as the official creative labs website. |

I don't use the full creative software, only the NOMAD Explorer application in "My Computer".
Don't delete the files from the PC as when you copy them back the file structure and names are lost (damn annoying that one!) |
