Swytch Mobile - thoughts?
Came across www.swytch.com via Pocketlint.
They are offering for iOS & Android up to 5 additional mobile numbers via their mobile app. The system doesn't need a different SIM as it uses WiFi / data calling. They seem to permit 'disposable' numbers. The biggest issue as I see it - as always - is price. The launch trial gives you 50p credit, but calls seem to cost 5p/min ; I couldn't find the SMS cost, but I sent one, and my balance dropped by 6p. There's a subscription fee once the trial is up, which at £24.99 initially seemed quite hefty for 12 months, but I could see how this could be good value for someone wanting to avoid carrying a second phone, or buying a dual-sim phone. Service quality will be the deciding factor, I guess. Thoughts? |
