Dear Strictly Producers .....
Please reconsider the format of the hour long ITT Friday Show. It is a complete mess, it's more like a second rate BBBOTS and that is saying something. ![]() I am confused, why is there a standing audience, what do they contribute to the show ? Don't get me started on these stupid VTs, pure drivel. ![]() There is not enough dancing related content in the show ... How about a sneak look at some of the rehearsals in the studio. How about having a Friday panel who actually knows what they are talking about when reviewing the cpls. It would be nice to have back stage gossip, even a look behind the scenes. All the above is what the die hard fans of Strictly really wants. |

Very irritating and a pet hate of mine . Oh and I agree with Skyrah , the hour long show is ridiculous . Trying to cram far too much nonsense into the hour . Less is more , I'd much prefer less waffling and 'fun, funny fun ' little bits . Zoe looks frantic at times trying to stay on top of things . She must be exhausted by the end of the show . |

All the above is what the die hard fans of Strictly really wants. When Strictly first started, Len did a short clip with the help of 2 amateur dancers, teaching a few simple basic steps of each dance, just enough to put together a basic routine that someone who has never danced before could learn, if they felt the urge, but could actually use if they went to a social dance. This was only shown on the Red Button, and I've yet to meet anyone else who actually saw it. Since then, of course, Strictly has gone from strength to strength, and I wonder if this would not be the sort of thing that would appeal to viewers - say, for about 10 mins each Friday. What do you think? |

Cut down on the lighting effects, they're distracting and are even more intense this year.
Yes we know it's an effect that's possible with all the new technology the BBC loves to demonstrate on screen, but much of this is unnecessary. It's a dance show, not Blackpool illuminations or Las Vegas. |

Good thread!
Dear Strictly Producers I would like to see more dancing and less talking. I'm interested in the judging of the dancing but I don't like the cult of the judges that seems to be growing. I would like to have more professional dancers drawn from the ballroom world. I find it embarrassing that you have a professional dancer on the team who does not know what she is doing, even though she is a nice personality and engaged to a popular pro. I'm disappointed in the bland and inappropriate music choices foisted on the couples. One comment that is heard time and again from judges is "character of the dance". In order to achieve character of the dance appropriate music is required. You have a talented group of musicians and singers; let them work with decent music. |

Oh, and cut out the ripped off shirts and all unnecessary comments about participants bodies while you're about it.
Its a family show at family viewing time. |

Producers please, since you only have about 12 million viewers a week you must give up to our demands, we know best how to run a a show where millions of pounds are at stake.
1- Please get rid of all the high paid professionals, wardrobe designers, singers, dancers, cameramen and lighting technicians and especially the presenters, sitting comfortably on our bottoms at home we can run the show much better than you. 2- Choose the right songs, after all we all have the same taste in music. 3- Choose my favorite celebrities, and then take out the celebrity I do not like out the first week. 4- Get rid of the props, extra dancers and the annoying audience. 5- Eliminate the judges, who needs them? We are more knowledgeable than any of them and experts at everything related to dance, we know better. 6- Stop using computer graphics, projections on the walls and dance floor and make sure only one camera is rolling, preferably in black and white. 7- We think, you, the producers have too much power, as if you had any talent to begin with. are you getting paid for this? hopefully no more than me. 8- There are many more suggestions and criticism of how to properly run this mediocre show, but I am about to enter the dancing with the stars forum to tell them what to do over there as well, maybe they should make their show be more like Strictly, after the changes are made. |

^^^^ Oh, for heavens sake! Let's just close this forum down!
Creating discussion is the show's lifeblood. At least people give enough of damn to bother talking about it. Nobody enjoys being criticised but the producers should worry when the chatter stops. |

Less faffing and props, more dancing. Training VTs instead of painful "comedy" ones.
Thanks. |

So, I haven't seen any of this year so far, is it worth watching?
Tess irritated the hell out of me last year, and I discovered I was fast forwarding even through the dancing because, the music choices were awful and the camera whirling was giving me motion sickness, would I be right in thinking, after reading the posts above, that this year is even worse? |

I would also like to see better marking. Tonight is a good example. All the judges said Jay's jive was amazing but only one 10. Anita and Gleb's American Smooth Waltz was innovative - she got marked down on it. |

Simply gorgeous - and brilliant music, love the sax tone. Dance isn't too shabby either..

Training footage in training vts please, not makeup storylines that cater for toddlers or have near zero connection to do with dancing.

Stop wasting a day out of their limited teaching time making those cringeworthy, unfunny clips . Let us see clips of the training .

For the producers to get rid of the casting vote rule and revert it back to the public vote after the unfair dismissal last year of pixie and Jake last year.
