As I said before I'm in two minds, I've supported actors who've gone to theatre school in the past and had some dance experience as part of their training (Kara being one) but an actual dance academy attendee is just too much for me personally.

He also wanted to pursue ballet and his movements are very often balletic . His ballroom dancing has had HUGE balletic influence with the spins and gentle foot placement and posture .
Sorry , but there is no avoiding it , he is the ringiest ringer we've ever had on Strictly , and that's saying something . His little-boy-at-Christmas look will grab the mumsy votes and those of the teens (rolls eyes) . He has it in the bag unfortunately .

I agree he comes across like it is his show and some of his marks were a disgrace.

Only one ID. Never signed up with two. Do it quick and it takes the votes. It was the same last series. Just wondering if it actually counts them.

Way to welcome a new guy to the show Len. Aside from how ugly and confrontational it was, it seems Len docked them a point for it which isn't right.

I agree FA The sniping against Jay will commence now

Len does this every year, it's to draw attention to himself, he doesn't like it when Craig gets more than him.

More so than Natalie Gumede, do you think? I'm not challenging your opinion, btw - I'm not qualified to! Just interested.

Len has always had a nasty side which comes out once a series....

So? He's still entertaining and this is an entertainment show. Would you prefer to watch 15 Kirstys, Daniels or Carols every week? I don't think so.

I saw that, Len got annoyed at him. I will have to watch that again to see what exactly happened.

What? Her septum is "low"?

The septum is a nasal structure which lies internally. Unless you think it is hanging out of her nostrils, I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

I think Denise (van Outen)'s dance experience was used against her because people disliked her for other reasons. The dislike for Denise was much the same, imo, as that for Lisa Snowdon who didn't have that dance experience.

As if that's the only alternative to having someone as trained as Jay.

He means columella I think.

What spoils it for me - and I'm not saying that Jay has reached this point - is if there's a celeb who's so far ahead of the rest as to almost turn it into two competitions.

I felt this way about Natalie G - she was so far out on her own that I almost didn't include her in the show. It felt like she was competing with herself.

I like to see two or three celebs vying for top spot - makes for a much more exciting competition.

If it wasn't Jay it would be someone else for people to moan about. Get over it already.

I don't care how much experience he's had it was still the best dance of the night

I don't think Jay is that far ahead. Anita has just as much chance as him to improve and take the title.

Get over it already. It's not going to change. So either enjoy it or stop watching if it annoys you that much.

Well, I did indicate that Jay was perhaps not obviously that far ahead - but he did look ominously polished tonight.

The point I was making was not about Jay perse - as I'm sure you are aware.

It doesn't bother me as much as some people. As long as he's entertaining that's all that matters to me.

No, I won't "get over it"; and please stick to discussing SCD rather than telling forum members what to do.

No, we have a perfect right to comment here.
