I really felt that Anton let himself and his partner down tonight. His Choreography was rubbish and did'nt show his partner off to her best I thought. I agree with the judges, his routine lacked substance and content. I think now that he has someone who appears to be able to put her dance steps together it shows him up as being poor.
What do others think?

I agree I thought it all looked a bit strange especially when Anton went twirling off on his own, what was that?

Goodness only knows, I thought there was a lot of time spent just filling in time if that makes sens.

I am fuming with Anton. What on earth was that? He has a great partner and that what he does, Katie and Anton may even be in the bottom two this week and if they are and get through the dance off he needs a kick up the backside.

Funny how Len didnt call him out like he did with Giovanni. Double standards.

maybe thats why he has always had crap partners he cant compete with the choreography that the other dancers come up with

Quite surprised it scored as high as it did to be honest.

Seemed as if Anton didn't have enough faith to let Katie do anything other than stand around and pose.

Oh dear oh dear that was dreadful. Poor Katie he really let her down.

I agree, dreadful choreography. I can't believe Katie couldn't have tackled something far more challenging than that. She was brilliant last week !

Even in the choreography Katie was given, she struggled and was stiff as a pole. There was also a lift in there, deliberate or not, as both of Katie's feet were off the floor when she went under Anton's legs.

The forum's obsession with this woman bewilders me, but she was as much at fault as Anton.

I noticed that too. All the judges must have been thinking the same re Anton's choreography, I know I was!

I haven't seen much of an "obsession" here ? She was genuinely very good in the first couple of weeks, which was quite a surprise given her background. I think a lot of people just like to see an unexpected contender doing well.

Has anyone thought that maybe Katie just couldn't do this dance and Anton did what he could to cover for this. Yes she was good the other weeks but maybe this week beat her. I'm glad Anton took the blame as he did create the dance, but knowing him there must have been a good reason for it.
When someone dares to answer back to Len he always marks them down as he did for Anton and Giovanni tonight. As for Bruno he was usually moody self with Anton/Katie.
Anton as always the gent took the blame from Katie and to her credit she was very gracious. Lets hope they are back next week and they are brilliant once again

The weakness of Anton's Latin really exposed...he's got through at walking pace with all the duff partners...give him someone with potential...and now with more Latin/up tempo dances than in the early series and I wonder if he really can hack it with a contender.

The lack of content in that Cha Cha was a disgrace. Anton has a partner who really can dance this year and it's showing how poor his choreography is. At least he had the decency to claim the blame but the level at which the dance was pitched was poorly judged.

*Maybe* he was trying to cover for a weakness in Katie - but the cha cha is one of the easier dances. If not, then I'm very disappointed with Anton - and I say that as a stalwart Anton fan. It would be such a shame if he squanders the chance he's been given. I hope this will give him a huge kick up the arse and he'll turn in something fabulous next week - if they stay (and I think they are in real danger because most of the less talented dancers at least had entertaining routines!).

Giovanni was shaking his head when Bruno was speaking and i found that disrespectful too , Anton Did own up and take the Blame

But WHY oh WHY Anton when you have a partner that can dance did you let her down so badly - your gonna be safe BUT you wont get away with it again

In all honesty she couldn't do the basic she was given, likely why Anton just decided to let her best and around. Better to get the points for achieving poor choreography than not getting points for failed/bad timing/content.

She was decwent enough in her tango, but her jive was !middle of the road. I feel people are over inflating her talent level because Anton has such bad partners usually. In reality, she's mediocre but people are going on like she's amazng.

This also goes to prove Anton can't donlatin which will inevitably let Katie down. If she can pull of ChaCha which isn't he easiest of the Latin dances, how on earth is she going to do Rumba or Samba??

He doesn't deserve a partner who can dance, it makes you wonder how much some of the no-hopers actually carried him in the last few seasons.

His suggestion that he choreographed "down" to Katie's ability was pathetic , he obviously choreographed "down" to his own ability.

Maybe Katie wasn't up to it and Anton did the best he could

Doesn't bode well for the future because the better dancers are really starting to pull ahead now as the wheat separates from the chaff.

This was always the fear. He really should hang his head in shame. It was absolutely pathetic.

Given that he has been lucky enough to be given a partner with some potential (she could easily have topped the leaderboard last week) that was probably the worst routine in Strictly history.

It is alright trying to take the blame afterwards but he really should have known how bad it was beforehand.

Her confidence will have nosedived. She can only hope he somehow picks up an injury and she can get a replacement.

She was quite stiff. Suspect it wasn't her dance.

It did feel like the choreography had been significantly watered down for whatever reason. From what Katie has shown so far it does seem that she is capable of a bit more than what Anton gave her tonight. I think she'll be OK though.

Anton just cannot do Latin. Every year his Latin is ropey, even when with awful partners. He is too ballroom.

It was the sort of poor dance that makes you look for excuses. Were they short of training time? Was someone injured? It's also the sort of poor dance that won't attract votes and can't really be improved in a dance off, sadly.
