Do you think the judges have something against Kirsty or is it just me ?

I personally think she may be the new Rachel Riley, however the wardrobe dept did no favours with that monstrosity of a tail.

I'm not an expert but it looked to me as if she was still tense, stiff, and not really feeling the music. Put the best parts of Jamelia and Kirsty together and you might get a good dancer.

I thought they were abit underscored,.I was dissapointed the judges positive comments weren't reflected in their scoring.Kirsty is improving ,do hope her & Brendan are safe.

Having such a ridiculous costume and make up must have made her feel even more self-conscious than normal, which is saying something.

Having said that, she was marginally better.

I expected her to be better - wasn't she a gymnast or something similarly sporty ?

I must be one of the few who thought she actually carried the costume/make up off tonight. She does look quite uncomfortable when dancing but I'm hoping that will improve. I thought she looked genuinely happy for other contestants too and was quite surprised with some posters thinking she looked sulky .

I said last week that her attitude reminded me a bit of Gabby Logan.
But this week I thought she was a "game girl" and the somewhat hard appearance she demonstrated on occasions last week, had softened.
I wouldn't like to see her go just yet.

I think she's about as talented a dancer as Victoria Pendleton, without all the histrionics.

I really want to like Kirsty as I think she's lovely, but her dancing is very poor IMO. I'd rather see her stay over Carol but I can't see her lasting that long and won't really be that sad when she does leave... I think it may be this week?

I'm not sure about Kirsty. Perhaps shes been undermarked a bit, but its not just her leaderboard position that should concern her - she needs to get public support to get through.

I could be wrong, but I don't think shes coming across brilliantly and as a result might not be that popular with the public.. Its not just the reaction to scores, but even the way she interrupted Brendan with 'I've got kids too!' is likely to put some of the public off her as things like that can effect people much more than the actual dance.

Not really...she won the channel 4 show The Games which included some floor work in a leotard but I cannot find it to judge musicality (it was ten years ago). A bit like saying those who competed on the Beeb's Tumble have an unfair advantage: the reality TV crap means they got a bit fit and brought out a DVD and is better than having done nothing at all but nothing compared with stage school/musical theatre.

more neurotic than histrionic, perhaps.
She always looks rather fraught and tense and the high expectations of Brenda all the time don't give her a chance to relax. I cannot imagine Brenda letting up on her.
So she looked (only) slightly better tonight, but the fundamental tension is still there.
Unfortunately I have a hunch that when she goes, nobody will really miss her passing.

Errrrrm no. I can safely say that Kirst' has had no previous dance experience whatsoever, or is in anyway the person portrayed by several of the threads elsewhere on this message board.

Part of the public problem is that as she's on Sky she's possibly unknown to a fair few of the population.

Well, people react to what they see on television (from a person). Especially her being in denial about last week (on ITT) will not have won her any new fans.

Part of it is obviously also dance ability, as for instance Anita can also come across as being very sure of herself (or knowing it better then someone else) but if you are a good dancer that is more easily accepted (which is why people react badly when Kirsty and Jamelia act like that).

I reckon her dancing bores the judges, it bores me. She looks awkward she was hanging onto her partner. But her scores were decent from the judges so they can''t hate her that much

She's the daughter of a pro golfer & presents some sports program on Sky.

I don't think the judges have anything against Kirsty - why would they? All three of her dances have been pretty bad, and on the whole I think the judges have been more than fair.

She's not the worst but her personality isn't endearing. Looking aghast at her scores last week and snubbing the popcorn lady tonight She takes herself a bit too seriously for someone who is .. well .. not that good.
I do think she is slightly better than V Pendleton though .. and that there is hope of an improvement if she stays. Brendan has a large fanbase .. so I can't see them going anywhere just yet.

When she stands still she looks phenomenal .. but when she dances she looks so ungainly.

She's bad in a way which will never get better. She has no sense of the music, no rhythm and poor balance and coordination. She also looks as if she is going through torture being there. Carol, Jeremy and Anthony are also poor and will make limited progress but they have more spark and appear to get more out of the process.
