A week ago I had faith in anton in hope he could get to the final, now my faith in him has disappeared and so has my votes for him and katie as a couple. I voted jay and aliona tonight three times and unless anton improves his Latin choreography, he has no chance of getting the glitter ball. Now I want jay to clinch it as he is a better dancer than katie.

There was nothing wrong with Anton's choreography this evening. The lack of content is a very clear indication that Katie was struggling with the Cha Cha and the choreography had to be simplified to accommodate that. Hopefully, it will just be a blip and she will bounce back next week.

I doubt Anton remembers what the actual latin dances should have in them, it's so long since he's had to do a proper one. Several past celebs were way better than he is, even.

Do I detect a lack of training time? He should be able to call on someone like Chris & Jaci if he needs ideas for a Cha Cha, surely?

HA! The honeymoon is over! Katie was stiff As someone predicted as soon as he got party latin, he’d flop. They won’t be leaving anytime soon because of the fan vote but I bet they won’t be dancing the samba for a very long time (thankfully!)

As soon as I could see that Kate was a good dancer, I did worry a bit for Anton and mentioned it on here when people were posting about him getting to the final. Hes a good dancer but I just don't think his choreography or dancing is enough to compete and win at the high levels..(levels that are required in the last few weeks and with a good partner like Kate) She mentioned 'the pressure' but I always felt the pressure was on Anton this year rather than her, as previous years everything could be blamed on his dud partner. I know many will disagree, but I've always felt his dud partners were a blessing to him, not a curse. I'm sure hes feeling much more pressure and exposure this year. Kudos to him for accepting responsiblity publicly though.

Anton's awful Latin choreography wasn't a surprise. The dressing-down he got from the judges was though. It was like a catwalk strut - pose after pose. On a positive note her frock was amazing for the third week straight.

It was hugely disappointing but Katie must have been struggling as his cha cha with Fiona had more content (she was better til she lost time and kicked him) as was he, not just the "is that a mic pack* in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?" but the general choreo to Beggin' was good.

Seriously, imagine Katie doing this routine but without losing time and they would have had no problems with his Latin.

I think they were a bit harsh personally, not as good as last week but I never bought this theory that people have to get better each week - some dancers suit certain people more than others, and Katie owned that tango. I have high hopes that she will deliver more good performances in the weeks ahead!

I did think Anton was sweet though, he seems so fond of Katie and I generally felt that he was afraid he'd let her down.

It was really disappointing. :/ There are plenty of simple steps they could have used instead of her just standing there if it actually was a problem with her not being able to cope with the choreograph. Rachel and Pasha's cha cha from a couple of years ago springs to mind as a relatively simple routine that covered much more of the floor, gave the celeb enough to do but wasn't anything crazily difficult. Obviously Katie and Anton know better than anyone else, but I reckon a routine like that would have been well within Katie's reach to at least have a go at.

I'm very disappointed in him this week . I don't know what he was thinking at all . He gets a fabulous wee mover and all he does is leave her standing there while he flitted around her like a mad butterfly. It was surreal !
Katie looked amazing too . But all that talent wasted .
Thank heavens he had the good grace to own up to it though , that's something . Hopefully this is the kick up the bum he needs to get in gear and use his partner to the best of her rather good ability .

Think that this was the week where any doubt about the winner was thrown out of the window.

And also the week where Katie has to start fearing for that final spot (especially since some of the other female celebs have pro's who have certain sections of the general public drooling over them).

Still, she should at least make it to Blackpool.

I have always felt that Anton never looks comfortable in latin. He almost looks embarrassed coupled with a bit of Dad dancing.

I agee that the pros tailor the dance to suit the celeb and maybe that's the problem. Just felt the wheels came off this week.

No , he took the blame squarely on his own shoulders and was very cowed in the balcony interview . I felt sorry for him , but yes, for sure he was the one at fault for bad choreography .

There wasn't much content and she was mainly posing, which was a shame

Obviously it wasn't brilliant tonight but I didn't think the music seemed ideal for the dance ... experts will be able to tell me if that is true.
I am hoping we get to see more beautiful ballrooms so have voted for them [also rooting for Jeremy to get through] but if Salsa/Samba are also bad later in the series I might have to vote for the better routines.

He was very careful to appear chivalrous and take the blame, but in actuality claimed he had had to dumb it down because she wasn't capable of more.

Anton is a ballroom guy, Latin ...not so much .

He might get his usual Christmas after all. He's throwing Katie's talent away.
