I have watched Strictly ever since show 1 of series 1 and I can't ever remember a night quite like tonight before.

Right from the opening seconds of the pro dance all the way through to Jay and Aliona's jive, it was quite simply the best night of Strictly I have ever watched

I don't think many would agree with you there...

I would agree that it was a fantastic show tonight, From the beginning opening number using the celebs right through to the fantastic ending, Not sure about it being the best ever though.

Not really, for me only two memorable dances and quite a few contenders had very shaky performances (Katie, Anita, Peter; actually enjoyed both Ainsley and Jeremy more).

Perhaps not the best ever, but good highlights - brilliant opening sequence and Jay and Aliona. The Gleb crab thing certainly prevents it being the best ever.

There were some poor dances, some entertainingly bad dances, some okay dances, a couple of really good ones and an outstanding one.

Sounds like a pretty regular early series episode to me.

It was an excellent episode, FAR better than last week's and I enjoyed most of the performances very much. Not sure I'd say best ever though, but judging by her tweets Karen Hardy agrees with you!

I actually thought tonight dragged a bit, there were a couple of exceptional dances in Anita and Jay, but apart from that, no different from most theme nights

I don't think so.

Saving the best to last can give a misleading impression of the overall show....which is why they do it.

Some people are just never happy. If you didn't enjoy tonight Strictly isn't for you.

Go and watch X Factor.

I think there is middle ground between 'best night ever' and 'didn't enjoy'.

Hardly for you to say. Do you have a problem with people disagreeing with you? Tonight's show was well below par with a distinctly tacky pro show dance with dire choreography and some fairly mediocre routines to follow.

Frankly, if it wasn't for Jay, Helen and Anita, the whole thing would have been pants.

You watch whatever you want to watch and we'll do the same, thanks all the same.

I absolutely loved the pro show dance and I didn't think any of the celebs danced badly (certainly not compared to some of the celebs we have had in the past at this stage of the competition). There were some show stopping routines. The music was fantastic and mostly appropriate for the dances (unusual for Strictly). The whole show just seemed to have a buzz about it. It seems I am in a minority but I thought it was brilliant

I think they all upped their game. My bottom two are Anthony Ogogo & Oti (because he is dancing with one arm and one shoulder) and Katie & Anton (dreadful choreography - very little dance content for Katie). All the others showed improvement.

It livened up towards the end, but the first half was a bit ordinary

It was a average show but had probably the best SCD dance ever at the end and therefore will be remembered.

The rest of the show was full of dodgy routines, poor production and silly costumes that look like they were purchased from poundland.

There were no clear duds - the two most disappointing performances were Anthony & Oti and Katie and Anton. Peter was not quite as good out of hold than I was expecting given his previous performances. For me the last two dances were the best. I really liked Anita & Gleb dance and then Jay blew me away - I really didn't think he would be able to dance fast and keep it all together (Jay & Aliona's dancing got faster and faster and as it got faster Jay's dancing got better and better).
