Just seen that the YouTube videos of the performances wont be available to watch to anyone outside the Uk, bit of a stupid thing to do from the BBC team as they could have gotten more views but oh well

I know but they'll still loose a lot of views from outside the UK and those who dont know how to view the dances, it stupid since they made the first 2 weeks available

Hmmm. But why change it now after years of the clips being available? I wonder if this is trying to 'head off at the pass' government criticism (White Paper looming and all that)

Why? What a silly thing to do. Surely BBC would want to promote SCD. I have English friends in Canada and America who like to keep in touch with their British roots.

I suspect there's grumbling about pesky furreners getting to watch for free what we have to pay for. I get the logic, but it seems a bit paranoid. It's not as if the whole show was ever made available and I would have thought a few dance clips were good PR for the show and the Beeb .

Looks like the YT videos are working now from the outside of UK, just not in the HD quality. Which is better than nothing at all, much better Oops, a different channel

I am currently in Charlotte, North Carolina and they ARE working. I watched Jay's jive, Kellie's Charleston and the other performances from last night on YouTube. Loved that jive!

My problem with this is that here in Belgium, I pay for cable and the cable provider pays BBC a fee for cable content. Yet I cannot access that same content via YouTube (via my cable provider). So I can go back to my recording from my TV, but cannot watch on my computer. Yet someone in the UK who may not have paid his TV license can watch from his computer.

21st century, anyone? Yes, I get IP (hubby is an IP lawyer) but given I can also see the clips in Twitter posted from BBC Strictly, their policy at the BBC for YouTube is a bit weird.

Same here in Switzerland. It's all a bit daft if you ask me.

I did but it did work last week but it didn't yesterday. 😤 I wanted to vote online but couldn't. No idea what the problem was. Hope I can vote next week. I live in Holland.
